I never said I think breaking bad is a masterpiece. it is probably one of the most overrated shows ever but that dosen't take away from the fact that jesse pinkman has been acted out tremendously. also this has nothing to do with cultural difference I watch shows in spanish, french, turkish but in no way korean standard of acting is higher than English shows like the original comment mentioned coz their first priority will always be leads' looks rather than their acting talent. also who is christina aguiler? google search says she's a singer but I am pretty sure as an an actor she is nowhere as popular as rowoon is among kdrama viewers. also what has timberlake done, friends with benefits? what rating did that movie get now compare it to what ratings idols get. you would never see a high rated english show with bad acting. while I could name a 50 from top of my head for asian dramas. adios!

my ratings for asian dramas are not the same standard for english shows. I rated peaky blinders as 9 on imdb, that does not mean I find hometown cha cha cha better than peaky blinders. next I tried watching the most overhyped thrillers like flower of evil, mouse, lawless lawyer etc and they were pathetic so I stick to romance for asian and english for actual good shows. Among your given shows I started secret love affair, didn't like it but even if the rest of the shows have brilliant performances (they still wouldn't be as good as thomas shelby) my point is standard of acting is much higher in english shows than korean. jesse pinkman, saul goodman, tony soprano, brad pitt in everything, uhterd & alfred in last kingdom for checkmate, while you name me a actor as popular as Rowoon or that guy in my roomate is a gumiho who can't act for sh*t? also why would I compare anything to the sex and the city, minmimum standard should be HIMYM, now find me a barney stinson in kdramas, try!

ok i still finished it pressing 10s forward continuously. it does get better from ep7 but they don't really get together till last episode, so much enemy time for so little lovers time.
p.s. at ep12 bro is trying to justify sleeping with arguably the most beautiful woman in thailand as a revenge for his ex fiancé *wink wink* 😂

when I read comments like yours i wonder we already have movies like million dollar baby, and that brad pitt movie, then there is netflix nd prime filled with biography of messi, bolt and everyone so why bother with asian dramas when you know sooner or later romance will be part even as little, most of us come here for this part specifically to watch a show in an language we don't understand. couldn't disagree more. you just randomly watched a show and concluded that korean actors are better when in reality half of them are ex idols who are not fit enough to act on school play. *cough* I m Yoona and most of the pretty boy actors of korea. I don't know coz I love english shows so much but find me 1 south korean actor who is half as good as cillian murphy in peaky blinders or Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock? the answer is there isn't one coz all of them are considered for their looks before acting.
