you're the one not understanding stuff dumbass 😭 abuse is not subjective...if some kid comes and tells you their mom hit them once or yelled at them and therefore is abusive are u going to say shit like "well that doesn't count as abuse to me" do u realise how stupid that sounds? even if i accept your argument let's just say her character feels abusive to me. let's consider this is abuse for me and that's why i called it that..why is your bum ass
here arguing with me then?😭

"she never hit him" go back and watch ep1 and we will talk again. she hit him with a ruler on his legs till there were marks even when it wasn't his fault. she mentally abused him so much it was burned into his brain even after he lost his memory. this is also a sensitive topic that i do not want to discuss on a kdrama comments so i will not be replying again, ill just like to say that abuse is not a subjective thing you can discuss. it's an objective fact. just because what she did to him is not "bad enough" to fit YOUR definition of abuse does not change the fact that she did. this is a very harmful way of thinking and i feel genuinely sorry for you if you cannot see that what she did to him was wrong. abuse doesn't have to be "bad enough" or "illegal" or above a certain threshold for it to be called that.

do u have selective watching like selective reading...? did u not see her hitting him? refusing him from eating enough? not letting him have normal kid interest? breaking the tv in front if him? and if u think none of these qualify as abuse just because he grew up okay DO NOT bother replying to me again ☠️

As you said her character arrouses hate or love so it's normal for some one to come out and call out those who…
ofcourse discussions and disagreements are normal, my comment was just reminding people that both interpretations of her are equally valid and one shouldn't say that the other party is straight up in the wrong or doesn't understand the character just because they have the opposite opinion, because i saw a few people doing that in the comments....discussions are amazing but trying to claim that one interpretation is correct and the other wrong is just childish

yep! i get that they introduced this so she would have to be the "bad" mother and teach him to be on his own which is kinda the theme of the drama, but i hope it doesn't become more than that, i don't want a sad ending for her and i also don't want her and kanghos relationship "fixing" because hes feeling bad for her! it should just a growth/plot progression thing

Can anyone explain me why Oh Tae Soo and his daughter wanted to kill Kang Oh and what is the main I intentionof…
OTS being a presidential candidate 1.is afraid kangho might expose his role in his dad dying 2.wanted to control/pressurise ceo song....kangho was helping him overcome this by forcing ots to get his daughter married to him and become relatives with the ceo, so they both can control/threaten him later on and share his presidential power...ceo song's intentions aren't very clear but he just wants to use kangho to
use his prosecuter job to save hkm from things and threaten ots also...he just wants power basically

also the takes people have about ra miran's character are weird lol, i don't think u can go full white or black…
personally i really hope she doesn't die and gets well, her "redemption" arc or whatever you'd call it should conclude with her and grown kangho being able to talk freely for once and discuss things...not her being forgiven because of pity or simply dying

also the takes people have about ra miran's character are weird lol, i don't think u can go full white or black in cases like this. people who sympathize with her or try to understand her are valid and people who cannot forgive her are also valid😭 that's the thing with characters like this...of course she has suffered a lot and had some thought process behind treating kangho the way she did, but that doesn't change the fact that she still physically and mentally abused him throughout his childhood and teenage....the comments who are mad at people for calling her "bad" or not forgiving her are missing the point of the drama

ou no way they are going for the terminal illness route😭 i like the drama a lot so far but i really cannot stand stories where a character suffers throughout their life and then dies when happiness is close(in ra mirans case it might be after kangho gets well again and maybe changes his treatment of his mom) but now i don't think she will make it through the drama alive which makes me mad😭 i know this is supposed to be a trigger for her to be a "bad" mom again but i hope she miraculously gets well by the end

finally got time to watch it and i already love it so bad after ep3😭😭😭😭 was already sure dohyuns acting would outdo all his roles in this one but i didn't have many expectations with the revenge plot it surprised me by being rather good! the side characters are also likeable and kanghos character is just so interesting.... dohyun and ra miran are doing amazing so far the food scene made me cry like crazy😭 can't wait to see the rest i hope it continues being this good

Title Melancholia
I have yet to finish this myself but this comment is simply for people who want to watch it for LDH but are irked by student/teacher dynamics:
I won't really talk too much about the plot lol like the other comments say it's objectively mid and not entirely well written(though I love math so I personally loved the parts that talked about it and the scenes dealing with slumps and all, I also think it deserves a 8+ rating if it wasn't for the romance and it focused more on maths than corruption, I really enjoyed some parts in it) but all in all, the plot as it is isn't too special.
However, as someone who hates teacher/student plots, this one ended up being less irksome (FOR ME) than I initially feared as she was not interested in him when he was a teen(or at least it's not explicitly stated or implied that she was), i think she genuinely wanted to help him and she also offered ye-lin help but she kept refusing, she didn't groom him or anything and tried to distance herself when she found out he had feelings for her. I agree she should have been more careful and it was a little sus but it could have been so much worse.
So I definitely don't recommend watching this for the plot or anything but if you're willing to watch a drama just to see LDH look really good and ride a bike but are worried about teacher/student, it will probably be alright, the romance isn't there till they are both adults, still can be creepy for some people of course but not unwatchable.

oh i totally understand that she wasn't too bothered about it either, she probably would have quit herself later too the job wasn't a concern i just think it was a little ooc because I'd imagine dong eun would catch up and deal with it before it got to that point instead of leaving her mom to her own devices for a while...but it's alright because it was meant to portray her mom as irredeemable

right i think dong eun would be smarter than to just leave her to her own devices like that but at least she got what she deserved later....and yoon sohee? that is the case with her yes and i agree but i guess they do have some base as many things are inspired from real occurences 😭 not to mention it's horrible almost everywhere for women

plot wise the only two things that i wish were different was 1.dong euns mom being dealt with sooner. i can understand why they wanted to bring her in but i feel like dong eun with her wits should have caught on and found a way to deal with her sooner 2. i wish we saw yeonjin being bullied in prison more like i wanted to see her physically suffer as well....but im still satisfied with the ending they chose for all the bullies

SO GOOD! i was really afraid they might fumble p2 by not handling it well which is a case with many dramas but this was amazing from start to finish. the writing being great and the acting being more than satisfactory along with good execution really makes you think it deserves all the hype it got. all the actors were amazing but talking about p2 in particular i really loved how dohyun's character finally got treated like he deserved. i was really disheartened by all the negative comments his character garnered after p1 for no particular reason (as his real role was only established towards the end of p1) and i hope there won't be many people hating him anymore. as always his acting was perfect and i think dong eun and him really deserved the ending they got! yeonjin actress also stood out a lot to me she was crazy good...then again the entire main cast was they deserve all the appreciation they can get
