i was a little reluctant in the start but after finishing it just now i know i wont be able to watch anything else for a good while because of how good this was i felt so happy watching it😭 it's so easy to go wrong with tropes like this but they handled it so well...the lack of typical complications seen in dramas(love triangle, random crime plot, evil characters) is also very refreshing to me....i loved almost everyone here....sang zhis character is so dear to me because of how kind she is but also she feels very neurodivergent coded and her family spoils loves and supports her so much all the time it made me so happy....i loved sang yan....and jiaxu was soo good i am having trouble phrasing everything he made me feel😭 im so happy hes not alone anymore...his character is already so lovable and czy visuals make him just insanely good... tldr so good i wish it had 25more episodes of them just being in love
i have too much to say but first and foremost LEE DOHYUN you amaze me😭 his expressions in the whole part where he was singing to youngsoon, the funeral and then the end scene with youngsoon alone should get him every award ever 😭
In ep 13 I didn’t like when Mijo told her mom that she’s like her. She can’t compare Kangho to her dad.…
i didn't like it at first either but aftet thinking about it, mijoo only came to find out kanghos intentions recently and when she compared them she didn't mean kangho is like her dad but she was probably comparing the fact that she could not move on from kangho aftet all these years(consider she didn't know his reasons upto now and thought he abandoned her) to her mom.... it's more of "we both love one person too much" and not "hes a bad person but i love him"
ahh i wish this ep was longer it was so cute and fulfilling a rather good last second ep before the probably heavy…
also i guess it's almost confirmed that we will have a happy ending for everyone except youngsoon maybe im afraid she will die after the villains are punished unless they pull some unrealistic miracle....but it should be fine for everyone else. also im glad the two guys finally went against ceo song I was waiting for it to happen, hope they can help kangho out
ahh i wish this ep was longer it was so cute and fulfilling a rather good last second ep before the probably heavy last one😭 kangho mijoo might be my fav dohyun drama pairing they are too cute....and ik many comments here find samsik annoying but hes a good token comic relief character to me hes kinda cute and funny.....i don't want it to end...also i wish he either regained his memory by ep10 or they made it 16eps since im afraid the last ep may be a *little bit* rushed (not too much since it can still be 1h+ which i think is not THAT little) but i feel like it would be overall better for the drama...love it either way
Is the show condoning abuse? Because a lot of what Mother does in the name of tough love can be interpreted as…
unfortunately it is, i was hoping they would address her behavior later on but they just made kangho "love her despite all that because he knew shes doing it all for him" so i don't think it will be addressed, everything she does is apparently justified as long as the end result is well in this
i see many comments concerned about the ending being rushed which is a valid concern since it happens with many dramas, but with this one, i feel like there's not really much to do? like it may seem like a lot is left but once they get hayoung on their side and the restaurant owner's alibi and with all the evidence kangho had been saving up(hopefully he had backup for whatever youngsoon burned)+the proof mijoo found about kangho murder attempt the villains might go down pretty quickly no?😭 like obv there will be some twist and they will try to stop him from exposing them still but even with all that there's still 2+ hours left.....i think the drama itself has been fast paced so far but i don't think they will rush the ending even more or it will be unsatisfying....or so i hope
all i have to say is ill be very angry if dohyun ends up not winning anything for playing kangho😭😭 he's…
like ofcourse hes able to make u feel things with his acting, but also the way you can just TELL the difference between actual 7 year kld kangho vs kangho after getting his memories back and acting to be 7 years old so easily, no matter how this drama ends, dohyuns portrayal of kangho will go down as a great acting performance
did anyone else find it uncomfortable that she wanted to marry him off and even start a family (have kids?) while he is still mentally 7? like i get shes doing it since shes going to die but MARRIAGE instead of finding a loyal and reliable caretaker? when he doesn't even understand what that means(clear from the whole samshik is my financee thing) . the whole thing was a mess, the reasoning that "he will be mature after marrying" applies to grown men who aren't responsible. a 7 year old cannot become mature because you marry him off lol...then not telling the girls about his condition in advance then being shocked or sad that they don't want to be a caretaker? and does kangho's consent not matter at all? imagine he gets his memory back and finds himself married to a woman he didn't consent to marrying?
the way youngsoon thinks she has the right to make every decision in kangho's life under the "i did it because i care for you" justification needs to be studied, first deciding his life for him, deciding his relationships, then deciding that he should let go of the life he has lived for 35 years now, and now wanting to "marry him off" while hes mentally a kid and unable to comprehend what is happening
i also do get that this is a plot device to motivate mijoo to confess about the twins, but it's still uncomfortable that the mom and the villagers even thought this is a good idea
probably the 37283th person saying this, but gu seung-jun shouldn't have died, it would be a more fun and fitting ending for his character if we saw him with seo dan at the end in russia and he faked his death to get away from seri's brother, i was hoping that would happen, him dying was a little unnecessary and even rushed, a shame since the rest of the drama was written very nicely
i don't think she deserves to be defended, i wish everyone would just agree that the way she treated kangho throughout…
those are two different things! i do hear her out, i understand her trauma and desperation and i understand why she does whatever she does. when i said she doens't deserve "defending" i meant her actions, one can hear her out and try to understand her and sympathize with her, but she still was abusive to him
Defending young soo is getting harder and harder every episode lol
i don't think she deserves to be defended, i wish everyone would just agree that the way she treated kangho throughout his life was horrible, even though she had good intentions and her own reasons
I'm noticing a pattern of Young Soon doing stupid things in the heat of the moment. First early on when she hit…
exactly. i think it's because of her trauma that shes really panicky and sentimental and has extreme reactions out of anger, also seen in the way she crazily started hitting young kangho in the police station and it's only gotten worse after her cancer diagnosis as she thinks shes running out of time i hope this doesn't ruin kangho's plans too much
im happy most people agree she shouldn't have burned his files. if she thought about it she would realise that hes already on the antagonists' radar and burning those didn't save him, just erased the evidence he worked hard to gather all these years
also i understand why youngsoon is against kangho seeking revenge, she doesn't want her son suffering or being in danger, but it feels unfair to kangho, whos whole life was dedicated to this. whether or not she wanted him to uncover the truth about his father, he belived that's what she wanted. hes a grown man who chose to do this. he chose to seek revenge for his dad as both his mom and his life was destroyed due to it. his mom is traumatized and his childhood was destroyed as a result, it was so sad to see grown kangho navigating life just looking for an answer for why he had to go through all this, and he finally found it i understand youngsoon doesn't want him to die, but denying him this at this point of time is unfair to kangho, whos 35 years were spent chasing this. i wish she waited for him to get better/hid the files somewhere instead of destroying them because after 35 years she realised that seeking justice/opening up his father's case can lead to dangerous things for her son
when you're mad about something or feels unfair about something it's easy to think that you can do everything…
that makes a lot of sense yes😭 her intention must have been to uncover it also but now that she can actually see the dangers the antagonists pose she wants it to end
Nah how does this drama gets better every ep? Its supposed to decline around ep9. This is so good they showed…
yes that was a little maddening because if she thought it through, she would realise that he has already involved himself with the antagonists enough to endanger him, so all she did was ruin some of the evidence he managed to collect over the years and didn't actually save him from anything, but i guess she was too worked up and sentimental to think then
me: happy happy happy cat??
