god their acting was atrocious, what was ren's little mouth opening thing whenever he had to do an emotional crying scene? so sick of japan's im straight but i love u trope. what was that scene where kazuma says i love you on the street and the shot pans out a bit to people just walking by? ?? was it meant to be comedic ?? the forced happy ending felt too rushed for me, with all the serious topics they handled it all fell really flat for me (the scene with the mum, the scene with the sexually assaulting boss in the office, the scene where ren takes off his bracelet, how they got back together in general)

well that's just it ay, it wasn't for inter fans to watch - naniwa danshis songs aren't on any accessible streaming sites either (except for the short version of their titles on yt and the song for kieta hatsukoi). watching japanese shows can be really annoying sometimes

i don't think theyre making like that to be ~attractive~ i think they put those characters in (usually main character roles) as a self-insert for the writer/reader/watcher. to me those characters have a lot of similarities with the side friend fujoshi girl characters. i guess its the same scenario with hetero shows ? i have to admit i'm less experienced with that

krist hadn't been in bl since 2016, the standards for bl have changed dramatically since then - especially in terms of chemistry - people thought he wouldn't be able to deliver on that front. recently all the ships have been couples that have had prior friendships or been newbie actors - krist and gawin clearly stuck out as different (had they even interacted before?). chemistry is a big part of bl, good acting doesn't mean that much if you can't convince the audience you're a good couple, i understand why people were skeptical

if u want a lil spoiler abt the ending ~~ people were annoyed at how long it took them to get together and how quickly they ended up breaking up (within the same episode), a lot of dropped plotlines within the main couple, time wasted on the straight couple, and the side couple not getting any resolution xx
