Could the development of her love for him happened from that moment she was standing in front of the restaurant…
I'm really looking forward to their married life, until they finally have children, hopefully there will be enough episodes about their life after having children and not just shown at the end of the drama.

yeah, and also the reasons of their fight were so lame in the novel...another point is that we have to think about…
In the novel, why do they fight?

Thank you for the information, I've just commented below about the confession. So, he's got caught by Cen jin and didn't confessed to him, at least that's align with his personality

It was quite strange when Li Wu, who was portrayed as quite insecure and cautious, became an 'aggressive' person in initiating and carrying out the relationship as in the preview of the next episodes. Moreover, he confessed his feelings when he was still a student, I don't know if he was still sponsored by Cen Jin when he confessed his feelings or if he was no longer sponsored. Because if he was still sponsored, I think it was quite strange when he had the courage to confess his feelings. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking down on him, but based on his personality shown at the beginning, he wouldn't have done that.

I don't have a problem with the age gap but I just have a problem with the fact that they have a past relationship after he went to college, it feels weird for me, but I will still watch this drama for the chemistry

No! Just No! This would have been honestly a good age gap story if the flashback didn't show that they had a relationship…
Yeah, maybe that's why I find it weird when thinking that in the past she is his sponsor and they dated, even though they dated when he is not a minor anymore. But, I'will still give it a try hoping that this feelings doesn't affect my mood

I honestly hope Feng Rui cuts ties with his mother by the end. She’s extremely selfish and manipulative . No…
I think giving that she is his mother, in the end he couldn't cut ties cleanly with her, but maybe they will maintain a fragile relationship because he couldn't trust her anymore... And if he and his ex still want to be together, there's no way they could pretend that nothing happened and have good relationship like normal mother and daughter in law anymore...

Idk why but I feel like the director wanted to show the ML most powerful. Maybe that's why they changed it. According…
Ahh I get it. Maybe this was the drama trend of that year. But, this is really annoying. Especially because I really like the original novel and Konghou in the novel. In the novel, they are both equally strong and genius. It's just that because Zhong Xi is 300 years older, at first his cultivation level is far above Kong Hou. It's just that he was injured, so their difference is not that noticeable. Then, Kong Hou's cultivation speed is really fast, faster than Zhong Xi, and at the end of the novel their levels are the same (if I remember correctly). And they accompany each other in defeating the final enemy. It really sucks to have to lose Konghou like this 🥲

I read the novel before this drama aired. In the novel, Konghou is a cultivation genius with five spiritual roots. Her journey in the cultivation world is relatively smooth and easy because of those roots and her strong ability to comprehend cultivation-related matters. Except for one trial where she had to make a difficult leap in cultivation level, the rest went quite smoothly—especially since she often traveled with powerful cultivators like Zhong Xi.

But when I started watching episode 1 of the drama, she didn’t even have spiritual roots at all???? I felt really disappointed with this change because I think it will make the entire atmosphere of the drama completely different from the novel. Konghou’s cultivation journey will automatically become much harder. They turned a cultivation genius into someone who doesn’t even have spiritual roots 😭😭😭. It’s truly heartbreaking. I don’t want the story to turn into Konghou constantly getting into trouble and only being able to wait for others—like Zhong Xi—to save her.

Because in the novel, Konghou didn’t really need much help from anyone. After her master took her to the Lingyou world, she became independent in her cultivation. She eventually traveled on her own in that world until she met Zhong Xi. After that, she often helped Zhong Xi, because Zhong Xi was a cultivation genius whose meridians were damaged and needed a great alchemy master and extremely rare materials to repair them. Konghou had extraordinary luck—thanks to her, all the rare ingredients Zhong Xi needed were found one by one, and even the alchemy master was located.

Please don’t turn this incredibly lucky cultivation genius girl into someone weak who constantly needs saving.

The twist of the core being in WZ oddly reminded me of 'The boy who lived' being the 8th horcrux 😄
You are so true, I feel so familiar watching that scene, but I couldn't remember when or where. Turns out it has the same atmosphere when harry being one of the horcrux. It's like, the biggest villain lives in the heroin. He is destined to be sacrificed for the sake of the world peace. But, in the we know he would be fine course he is the main characte

I am sure he has suspected WuZhen, although he has never verify, and also didnt confront. So he made his choice…
You are right, it's important to him to know about his parents death, but the way he tried to enter the demon city definition not the best way. It's just show that he doesn't completely trust her.

It's like the entire ep 18-21 is a joke for me haha. When he tried everything to keep her safe and when his basic instinct is to protect her. Where did all of those feeling and instinct go ? Just because she is a demon ? Even me feel like it's a joke, let alone Wu Zhen.

After made a comment above, I tried to watch the ep. And you are so TRUEEE. They ruin MZY for me. His gaze, his actions, not the MZY I know for the 21 eps. The way he looked at Wu Zhen when after she is rescued from the crazy senior brother and after the senior brother died is so STRANGE, like looking at a stranger, not a lover or a wife. Even when he tried to save his wife, he just look like a 'hero' who trying to save anyone from a 'villain'. I can't feel any worry or love from his action and gaze. Even when he asked Wu Zhen about her body, it's just feel like a unimportant question. I know understand why in later eps, Wu Zhen want to divorce him. Seeing the only man she ever loved and give her the promise to not let anyone or anything harm her become completely a stranger and a mute just because his lack of knowledge and prejudice towards demon realm, of course she doesn't know how to face him anymore

You're right, he could easily get that pendant and sword back, and he knows that. But he choose to stand still until the very last moment, seeing his beloved wife being tortured by his senior brother, don't fulfill his promise "never let anyone or anything to harm her".
