Be patient. We're only at Episode 18. Still a long way to go. Remember it was the emperors' job to "sleep around"…
I know, I'm frustrated as well when I see him so indecisive at times. But then, I don't think he forgets his "big love" at all, on the contrary, she's on his mind all the time. Just that, as an emperor, he was required to be fair to all his spouses and allocate his "sperms" proportionately whether he likes it or not. XD (Sorry if you're a minor.) It's just part of his duties as an emperor.
Sleeping around apart, what is good that emperor good at ? The editing has improved but I just want to see how…
Be patient. We're only at Episode 18. Still a long way to go. Remember it was the emperors' job to "sleep around" in those days. Emperor Zhenzong was not as bad as the others as he hadn't produced as many children as required :D
Oh trust me, when Zanila's version come out, it will be the best even if it's scriptless, includes no conclusion,…
Contrary to you, I have loved Liu Tao empress portrayal since "The Legend of Mi Yue". She has that regal aura as compared to Zhao Li Ying who looks more like a young girl suitable for a fighting heroine role. :D
Editing for the first 10 episodes is terrible, but since, it has improved. I guess they feel the initial events can be sacrificed for later ones so that they can trim the drama down to 61 episodes. Still, this is a good drama. Viewers can tell they have put a lot of efforts into the whole drama.
It’s a docudrama. They focus on historical facts rather than an entertaining drama. It’s disappointing, but,…
Yes, viewers should not expect a fluffy romance here. He's the Emperor and emperors were required to have multiple wives and concubines, otherwise they were rendered as incapable. Apart from the editing, all because they needed to reduce the length, this is a good drama, especially the war scenes. It seems like a very high budget production.
wait who does his mother tell him to take as a concubine towards the end??
Sigh! His mother seems to try to get any women to get into her son's bed so that she can get more grandchildren. She uses her entitlement as the matriarch to demand everything down everyone's throat with brute force. She capitalizes on her son being a filial pious son who would listen to her unreasonable demands. Aren't we lucky that this species of humans is extinct?
Only for who have watched until Ep 42 or who don't mind spoilers - have a question regarding Hu Po's arc.
The Hu Po's character is being very inconsistent: on one hand, she's quick witted (eg. she's so smart and helps in so many difficult situations), on the other, she's so dumb that she trusts anyone at all except the ones she tries to protect. Bad script writing in my view :(
Why the story is rushing? I wish they could have increased the number of episodes.
Yeah, it seems to jump a bit, but I guess they feel those are not important parts. As it is with 61 episodes, I'm surprised they are not being forced to trim down to 40 episodes or so by the authority.
I want to kill my TV, again! :(
