Same here! Where I live is 4-5 hours ahead of Beijing, and I don't have Youku VIP account. So I will have to wait until Thursday night here to see the final 3 episodes, since my workload won't allow me to watch even during lunch break at work. I'm anxious and giddy. I know I'd probably not be able to resist peeking at MyDramaList to find spoilers of the finale! :D

It's the finale day! The English sub is veeeeeery slow, but I'm grateful for those who have spared their time to sub it. Want to hold watching the finale until at least English sub is in ep 30, but I know I won't able to resist LOL

Can anyone remind me since when more people know that Ning Wang isn't blind anymore? He acts as if he still is when he cuts Wan Mei's cheek, but then a few more episodes later people seem to just acknowledge that he can already see.

IIRC she got the sword from Ning Gongzi. As to what kind it is, I'm not sure. It's explained in the already subbed episodes, but I can't remember.

This noble idiocy is one of the drama tropes I hate the most. I would've probably spat at Ruan Niang and told her to get the eff off my face -- which was once disfigured thanks to her.

Erudite, what pill does Gongzi take in ep 29 which outrages Yue Ying? I can't but quite like Yue Ying. I'm sure she harbors feelings to her master, but her loyalty trumps. She must be jealous of Wan Mei, but she doesn't act out of jealousy, she just does what she thinks is best for her master.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before. How were the shadows recruited? I'm curious how Chang An made into Gui Hua City. It was not exactly clear to me how assassins were recruited either, except perhaps for Wan Mei's case. Wan Xiang aspires to be there -- but how in the first place did she hear about Gui Hua and what it does?

Just scrolled down the threads and read your detailed explanations, as I want to understand the story better :). The current Emperor (so Gongzi's half brother, right?) -- is he the Emperor of the Tang dynasty? Or is it another kingdom? I know there must have been some explanations somewhere in the previous episodes but I missed them.

Hi Erudite, I've seen up to ep 28 & of course I don't understand Mandarin. Did Chang An tell Wan Mei that he took the heart pain GU?

So it means that the closer Chang An is to Wan Mei, the more painful it is for him? Looks like something he'll do as long as he can be with Wan Mei.
