I like wuxia but got wary to start after AX said she's not gonna watch this because she saw people in weibo said…
It did get a backlash in the beginning -- and ended up with a douban score 0.2 points higher than its original score. That shows that people appreciate the drama the further it gets.
Also, I don't think AX really watches any JY's newer adaptations anymore. I don't remember if she ever discussed one.
On top of it all, dramas are about your personal experience. Why don't you give it a try, and if you decide later you don't like it, you can always drop it. But most people here and those I know love it. It's one of the best wuxia dramas in recent years.
The douban score has risen to 6.9 after the ending.
Right? I'm so happyyy... especially because earlier it received backlash on Douban, from MRF hairstyle, to the changes from the book. It was as if all the other JY's drama adaptations were 100% following the resource novels :(
I agree. I didn't love the ending. MRF death was not necessary it was a needless sacrifice. And yeah that was…
I've hadna fanfiction in my head, that several years later they meet again with the grown up Xiao Mei and the (now teenage) twins. The twins become his disciples -- as of his promise to Chuhua -- and sparks fly between him and Xiao Mei. Then continue with the rest of the Fox Volant story as per Jin Yong's book lol.
I don't think we were supposed to feel emotional. He had a side chick that produced sons that would or may be…
You see, that's how it was back then. For the royal family, the Empress is the mother of all the Emperor's children, regardless of who the birth mother is. It's pretty much the same for other upper class families. When the biological mother is someone from the low class background, often times she would raise her child/ren as their nanny, and the child/ren will address/recognize the first wife as their mother.
She is a silly, vain and shallow girl who loved the wrong man.
I have the impression that in this drama, he's always known the boys aren't his. That's why he wasn't surprised when Shang Baozhen announced about Fu Kangan.
I thought it was Fu Kangan and Chen Jialuo who resembled each other, which Hu Fei mistakens Chen Jialuo as Fu…
Thank you very much! As Red Flower Society is fictional (I think?) Sun Gangfeng & Xiao Mei should be fictional characters too, right? As Fu Kang'an was a real historical figure.
