I truly hate not finishing a drama. Usually, even if I don't like it I will push myself to just finish it. Gap Dong was one of the very few dramas that I have dropped. I've thought about starting it again, but I just remember being so bored watching it. I keep seeing it as a highly rated drama, so maybe I will give it another try later on when I am between dramas.
Thanks so much for this article! I was really just thinking about how different dramas are now, as opposed to the BOF era. There was two main difference that I were thinking about. The first was how the second main leads, both male and female, are now usually not so persistent. In the end they usually end their quest to win over the main lead coolly, often becoming friends with the one who did win the main's affection.
The second difference I thought about was how evil the rich main lead's mother would be. Nowadays, the mother may make her displeasure known and may even try to buy or intimidate the poor lead female. However, it's nowhere near as extreme as it used to be.
Although, I like most of the changes in these shows, sometimes I do miss all the incredible drama and tension that there was when I first became addicted to Asian dramas!
