One day, I was browsing through on Netflix and found this movie and so I decided to watch it. Though "Lump of Sugar" wasn't one of the best nor memorable movies out there, it was an okay experience with this movie. SO here is a short review, of my own opinion.. though it might not be very helpful, here it is:
Story: 7/10.
Real cliche, and this type of thing has been done before, though others may not revolve around horses like this one. In here, we have a little girl, in fact a very adorable one, who has a relationship with a horse and eventually grows up to be horse racer.. It's a heartwarming story about a girl and her horse and the racing.
Acting/cast: 8/10
The little girl in this story is probably the most adorable thing in here... And the most memorable part of the whole movie.
Music: 7/10.
Heartwarming parts come in, heartwarming music comes. Sad part comes, sad music comes in. The music in here I didn't really remember nor it isn't all that great to remember. The only scene of music I really remembered in here is the scene when she listens to the radio and imagines the horse racing.
Rewatch Value: 5/10
I wouldn't really want to re watch this movie.
Overall: 7/10.
Btw to mention the cinematography was great in here. The coloring too. So damn peaceful. green. bright. and moody. Quite good for this type of movie.
-Sorry if my review wasn't really helpful. I know it is very choppy and may not make sense..but I'm trying to get better at doing them reviews.
