But what if it's one of the young actors in their 20s? It would be "Oh the South Korean government is so harsh…
Someone who makes a wild, unsubstantiated claim and then, when called on it, says "You look it up" is always going to be a twat. Not worth the breath to cool your porridge.
the screenwriters are even worse, but I totally agree, very bad production on several fields
Yes, the writing is also very weak. What is it about Korean writers that they so often write the FL as dumb as a rock, even when she is something like a doctor or lawyer?
Lemme add kairos cuz y'all don't like to watch quality stuff. Also, Scarlett heart ryeo is the dumbest possible…
I agree with you about SHR - one of the dumbest dramas I've ever watched. I can't understand why it was so popular. Even the 'acting' (from people who CAN act) was bad.
No offense but kim jung hyun deserved better after 2 whole years of being on hiatus. Someone should fire the director…
I note that this isn't doing too well in Korea. Is that because people are 'cancelling' the actor or because they're noticing the flaws in the writing/filming/editing?
I read a lot of Korean fiction (books, not webtoons) and I think I've read 2 that are about assassins (The Plotters, The Old Woman with a Knife) and a third is queued in my Kindle (The Consultant), All were published recently. It does seem to be a popular theme.
alcohol is far worse than marijuana. Millions of peoples lifes is destroyed because of alcohol, because of aggression…
Yes, alcohol misuse is linked to loads of health problems, with domestic violence, crime - including sexual violence - and suicide (far more so than depression) yet Korean dramas continue to romanticise not only drinking but full on, incoherent, vomiting drunkenness.
I'm enjoying it more than a few other dramas currently airing. Yes, its quite silly and the 'science' mostly isn't, but you could also say that about lots of shows, both Korean (their treatment of DID and prosopagnosia, for example) and Western (all those CSI shows, House, etc). Decent acting all round and lots of entertainment.
Am i the only one who thought it was umm.... OKAYISH???I mean i get it that it was only first 2 episode but idk,…
Yes, I wasn't drawn in by the 1st two episodes. And part of the premise - if that you are a disturbed, stalker fan you will eventually 'get' your idol - is a massive cringe, for me.
