I was actually surprised to see in the comments that people have seen the older adaptation (we are old, right?). Now that I let the emotions of the finale sink in, I can say that this adaptation brought back so many childhood memories.

In my small European country we got to watch the 80's series sometime in the 90's and I have very few memories from back then but I remember that there wasn't a single kid that didn't want to be Toranaga sama. And everyone wanted to have a katana. It was an emotional journey to say the least and that's why I was probably putting this series on hold for so long. But I think the timing couldn't be more perfect. Japan, here we come!

He was fascinating! The whole cast did a spectacular job.

I finally binge watched it and only one word can describe it - PERFECTION! They deserve every single award they won and more.

This series is such a reminder that real life exists, it's Japanese crazy! They touched on topics where others don't even want to go near. Seeing Keito going polar opposite on his feelings in the last two episodes made my stomach turn upside down. I only hope that the actors will get out of character quickly.

Jeeez, I thought I was ready for the scars but I wasn't. As much as I hate that Maya character, I have to admit that the actor is doing an amazing job portraying such psychopath.

It's a bug. There isn't even rating for the people who dropped, which usually draws the rating down. so it's around 8.x at this point. It happened before.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! It's pretty time consuming watching ongoing series but I have the excuse to work from home so here we are! 😁

My only surprise this episode is that Jack didn't notice or pretended not to notice Joker's smiley tattoo, which Jack drew on him in the bar when they met.

The Joker's cocky but when his speaks in his uber cute voice, I'm literally gone! He's soooo freaking adorable! Jack will be lost and gone in no time. 😁

We don't know much about his character. Anything I say will be a speculation. He could have been rejected by Pat so he decided to go on a sex spree, it could be anything.

I rarely binge watch anything, unless it's some short series all episodes released at once. I usually watch ongoing ones so I cannot say.
