I think that, after his badly ended relationship with Run, who we still haven't seen, Eris had a sexual relationship with Pat, who cut it short because he started growing feelings for him. Now Eris is sleeping around with Kim and the elevator dude in the preview, but is realizing he has a thing for Pat because when asked by Kim: "Why don't you start anew? " he immediately looked through the window where Pat was in the car, and said: "I'm trying". Make sense?

I don't know what's confusing about the timeline though, you can easily tell by Pat's hairstyle.. Pat with his hair down on his forehead is the past. Pat with his bangs divided is the present. But I might be wrong. 😁
