So I've watched a drama months ago and now, I suddenly want to know the title name again.
From what I remember, the plot is about the female lead transmigrating in the past as a wife of the male lead. Unlike other fl who eventually decided to stay in the past, this fl is really eager to leave no matter what happens. I'm not sure but I think she has a system that tells her how long does she have left until she's no longer have the chance to leave. Fl seems also to be business-minded because I remember she had some heated fight with her sister in law but they reconciled in the end because fl left her some wealth before she came back in the modern world. Also, fl had tried many ways to leave including some sort of rituals afair. Then the ml don't want her to leave. i already forgot some details but fl successfully came back in her era and live her life as a wealthy heiress. But then she was arranged marriage with a wealthy heir who turned out to be the ml who followed her. Then the end was they can still communicate with her in laws in the past through the system.
i think the reason xiao xun and xie yanfang have more power than the old ministers was because of their powerful…
yes that's also the problem. the xiao and xie were said to be prominent and powerful clans but aside from the heirs' scheming, they didn't really show how powerful the clans were. it's mostly offscreen
This drama is not terrible, but is not very good either... I liked the beginning (I was expecting a Kunming palace…
i think the reason xiao xun and xie yanfang have more power than the old ministers was because of their powerful backing/clans. they're also scheming; difficult to outsmart.
This one is really, really good and creative (at least for me), even if highly misandrist.I guess, many female…
how is this highly misandrist when this drama is clearly about two women (and more women) surviving and thriving against the patriarchal and misogynistic systems built by men. misandry is a prejudice against men, and in this drama, it's the men who oppressed women and limited them into just a "housewife". this would be misandry if men treated the fls better, but both of their husbands betrayed them first. the fil, specifically, humiliated and oppressed the mil for years, and even her son followed the father's footsteps. also, the drama even highlighted how men refused to give their daughters proper education because for them, it would be useless since after all, daughters marry into the groom's household. and education would be of no use for women because they're not allowed to participate in any academic work such as being a scholar and an official. if this was highly misandrist, it would be the men receiving such prejudice. this drama is empowering women; it's not encouraging manhating.
the husbands deserved their fate because not only they oppress women, but also did illegal acts such as embezzlement.
For me, cold, manipulative, scheming characters who never change and only grow worse toward their partner are…
yes, this is also my view tbh. i'm just annoyed with some people who have double standards specifically when female characters gets hate (e.g.: for being red flag) but the opposite sex gets love despite having the same characteristics as the female characters they hate.
them hating/disliking female characters who aren't one-dimensional or who are balanced (good but also manipulative, scheming, or evil) but loving male characters with the same trait
Sorry to say, I really don't recognize ML or FL but I hope you find out soon :)
oh, i'm sorry if i confused you but i genuinely wanted to know the main leads' names but i already found their names because i also asked in reddit and i just wanted to inform you, in case someone will ask them as well :)))
they're both green flags
