Ohh? What happened later? They didn't take the role?
The whole attraction about the drama was because the couple from Love O2O were coming back together in a drama so maybe he declined the role after the ban of Zheng Shuang. It's only my guess so I'm not đŻ sure.
Men donât seem to have dignity or pride in these dramasâI guess thatâs reserved only for women. The situation in todayâs episode, where the FL rejected the ML, is similar to what happened in May I Love You. In that drama, the ML rejected the FL simply because he didnât know her well enough to be in love with her. But during its airing, the hate he received was overwhelmingâalmost incomprehensible. He even had to chase after her like a dog for most of the drama because, in the eyes of the FL and female viewers, he had committed an unforgivable sin.
But in this drama, the reaction is completely different. Around 90% of the comments support the FLâs decision, which, to be fair, I can understand. Still, the hypocrisy in how these situations are treated across different dramas is honestly baffling.
What a toxic SML this drama has! And the way people are rooting for him says a lot about their mentality. If he werenât that handsome, most of them would be singing a different tune.
Can you tell me how annoying the SML is in this drama? I canât stand frustrating love triangles, so I just wanted to hear your opinion. Also, does the FL have a lot of scenes with the SML where he takes advantage of her gullible nature to keep her close or push her away from the ML? And does she, being a good friend, always stay by his side?
But this is consistent. He is a widower who has not yet let go of the loss of his love. (And deep in his heart,…
I'm not sure how your comment relates to mine because I was talking about how this is yet another drama where the FL can have a male friend, but the ML has no one at all while you are talking about ML being a Widower is the reason for that maybe. Itâs not necessarily a bad thing, but Iâve seen it in so many dramas that itâs become an overused trope I donât enjoy anymore.
Him being a widower doesnât mean he canât have at least one female friend or someone pursuing him. That would have made the dynamic more interesting and balanced, in my opinion. Of course, opinions are subjective, so Iâm not saying you have to agree with me, just like I might not agree with yours.
And letâs be honest, the FL is hiding her identity, so wouldnât it have been more compelling if there was a female rival vying for Pan Yue's attention? It could have created a sense of urgency for her to come clean.
Same old, same old drama where the ML gets jealous whenever the FL interacts with the SML, while he has no one else in his life besides her. The FL can have multiple friendships and be all chummy with others, but the ML, despite being so outstanding, wonât even have a single female friend.
FL is unbelievably insensitive in Ep 18. Her relationship with ML isnât even solid yet, but she completely ignores him for most of the episode while playing cupid for others. If she doesnât want to acknowledge their relationship publicly, fineâbut at least put in some effort and build it properly instead of wasting energy on other people. ML is the only one making an effort, opening up, and sharing his secrets, while FL is just lost in her own world of lies.
Why even be in a relationship if you can't handle the side effects? Sheâs unnecessarily hiding it and making ML uncomfortable in the process. It feels she is more in a relationship with Yu Shubo and Yu Chi than Su Yunchang.
It isn't serious and they're just friends. You should watch more episodes before judging
Bro, I donât think youâre fully understanding my point. Maybe youâre right, and the makers did show a good friendship between the ML and SFL, like they did with the FL and SML, but that was most definitely after the main leads became a couple. The whole dynamic changes after that, so it feels different. What I was hoping for was to see that kind of friendship between the ML and SFL from the start, just like we saw with the FL and SML. But with most recent dramas, thatâs just too much to ask for, so I was disappointed and just expressing my opinion. We saw so many jealous moments from the ML in this drama but thereâs rarely any for the FL, which also kind of hampered my experience a bit.

Iâm happy you didnât find it serious, but at least respect my opinion too. I just want to ask you one question: why is this type of relationship, or as you call it friendship, only shown between the FL and SML and not between the ML and SFL? Why this hypocrisy in portraying it? And honestly, a love triangle literally means two guys loving a girl and vice versa, so Iâm right in saying that.
Oh... I wanted to watch it because they said there wasn't a love triangle and I've liked YCE since Go go squid!,…
Iâd say the drama is worth watching for the way the leads interact and the overall positive vibe. But the problem is the hypocrisy of the makersâthey go out of their way to create these overly affectionate moments between the FL and SML, making them all chummy-chummy. Yet when it comes to the ML and SFL, he doesnât even spare her a glance, and sheâs the only one pining after him with zero mutual interaction.
Who said this drama doesnât have a love triangle? The FL and SML spent 9-10 episodes chasing after each other and going on countless play dates, but somehow that doesnât count? Meanwhile, compare how the ML handled the SFL to how the FL handled the SMLâyouâll see just how biased and unimaginative C-drama writers have become these days. And while the SML wasnât the worst, stealing an artistâs hard work just to impress a girl is just plain wrong.
