Still loving this. The complication in regards to marriage was needed, because it speaks to how the main couple may be in different stages of life, and it's interesting to see how they deal with that. I like that this drama is authentic and true to life, while also being very entertaining (second leads - so messy).

This is a workplace drama more so than a straight-up romance, and I think those who are expecting a cheesy romance with the ML and FL here are misunderstanding what the show is trying to do.

It's so unfortunate that any Korean actor having any kind of success now has to worry about unsubstantiated and unfounded rumors about "bullying" in a way to try and cancel them. I'm glad his agency is taking strong legal action because this is defamation and should not be taken lightly.

I especially liked this last part of their statement:
"Dongyo Entertainment will not sit still while watching a flower that has just begun to bloom be unfairly trampled on from a place hidden in anonymity."

Whenever there's a setback or some angst or stress or drama, people are up in arms. Can't deal with it. Fast-forwarding through scenes, tearing their hair out. Meanwhile some of us are along for the ride, seeing no need to be so reactive every week, but trusting the journey.

People can't handle angst and uncertainty about the road forward.

How is the pacing in this drama? I generally struggle when the episodes are this long.

Going from Semantic Error to this ... nope, this is not good enough.
When you've had the best, why settle for something so clearly inferior.

If you don’t feel any love between them after the bar scene at the end of episode 8, it may be a lost cause for you.

I did really enjoy To My Star, but this is on another level, especially in terms of direction, production values and the like. It felt like the quality of a proper drama, not just a BL.

It's rather telling that the rating is 9.0 on MDL among those "currently watching" the show, but somehow just 8.2 overall. I guess rating bombing of BL shows is nothing new on this site.

I feel so sorry for Forecaster Um's wife. I really hope they will get back on track eventually. He seems too clueless to understand what she needs, and she's finding it too difficult to communicate it.

It seems clear some time has passed, though. Shi-woo has vacated his room at the training center and started sleeping in his car while looking for an affordable room. And Dong-han has been staying in the night duty room for long enough to annoy everyone else about it, and the boss also says he's been staying there for several days.

The actor is doing great work; Kijoon is a character I love to hate. Such a dumb-dumb.

At least the ratings are great. It went up again compared to last week!

Episode 7 had me laughing so much I might have woken up my neighbors. Together with Semantic Error, this drama is the highlight of my week lately. Yoon Park is so great as the pathetic ex and I love Song Kang and Park Min-Young together. The supporting characters are mostly solid as well.

Some of you are obsessed with a very specific type of chemistry. Of course she's not going to get into a new relationship being as carefree as before after being cheated on and basically left at the altar. The experiences you have change you, this is not a "mistake" on the part of the writers', it's good, realistic writing and true to how people act in real life. It doesn't "take away from the chemistry", it just means that the chemistry is of a different kind.

Hakyung wants someone dependable; she wants not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Of course she's more careful and guarded, who wouldn't be after what Kijoon put her through?

Chemistry is subjective. I think the FL and the ML have a very comfortable chemistry which makes it apparent why they were drawn to each other so quickly. You sense that they are at ease with each other, despite their past scars and fears of betrayal. Not all sparks are like a thunderstorm or a hurricane, sometimes the spark is warm and soft, like the first day of spring.

It seems silly to complain about the romance being "fast". Not every k-drama needs a slow burn romance. Variety is good. If you prefer slow-burn dramas, then by all means watch one. But there are many of us who don't want to wait 12 episodes for a kiss. There's so much you can do when the romance starts early, that you couldn't do if the show is nearly done when they finally get together. It's refreshing to me.
