It's too early in the morning for me to unpack what kind of commentary the drama might be trying to make with…
So far to me it feels more like a means to an end for the "fish out of water" story and him being sent somewhere that he doesn't want to be, so that the island can win him over and he can find love and so on - more so than any kind of commentary on conscription/the military.
The main focus in this drama is not going to be romance, that much is clear. But there's no point saying that, because those obsessed with the love triangle trope will obsess over this until the drama has aired anyway, as any hint of romantic rivalry will be the end of the world for them.
don't y'all think this is moving really fast? maybe its a personal preference, but i feel their romance is progressing…
I mean he basically called her a slut today, so I assume there will be more bumps in the road where he puts his foot in his mouth and halts any kind of progress 🤣
Starting a romance drama and then complaining that it involves romance is like ordering a hamburger and then complaining that it has meat. Watch non-romance dramas, then?
neither like I don’t understand why your first thought would be if this Bl or not ?
The question has been answered several times already and the genre does not say romance and there is not an LGBTQ+ tag. Of course people will get tired of the same thing being asked when the info is right there.
Hong Mingi's fans seem like jealous children who don't know how to appreciate and support their favorite actor's…
Sounds like you're projecting, honestly. Most Mingi fans just seem to be happy that he's getting some screentime, which has been sorely lacking in many of his previous projects. Like in Crushology 101 where he was announced as part of the main cast but then turned out to barely be in the drama. He also got almost nothing in Study Group. So both this and To My Beloved Thief have been a big step up, and it's fun to see him take center stage this week.
That or clearly he needs money from all the lost endorsements, delays, and lawsuits. After the Phillipines I could…
They finished filming part one, but filming was abandoned before they could finish part two (I think they had like a month left). It's one story, so they can't really release part one before they have a plan for how to finish up what remains of part two.
It might prove difficult in terms of scheduling (and contracts may have lapsed) to get such a high-profile cast back on set, so they might have to do the best they can in the editing room with what they have (or shoot with whichever actors are available to tie it up).
He's impatient, clearly. The Philippines is where fallen actors go to work, so this isn't saying much. Let's see what Disney will do with his shelved drama that they didn't finish filming. That'll tell you if he's back.
Usually actors only get the first four scripts at most before deciding on a drama, and it must be so disappointing for them when it turns out the drama sort of falls apart after that (as it often does lately).
