remember how y'all were judgin tvN for the age difference? Who would've thought that it be one of the best kdramas of all time?

I see how it can be boring for a lot of people but since this is kind of a slice of life drama all those filler stories are actually what it is about. The story is also more character driven then story driven.
I wasn't a big fan of the love triangle either so I am not gonna argue about that but for the main couple, though it's your opinion if you found them to be meh, it is pretty common in Korea to address your partner formal, especially in the beginning and if you are used to address them in a professional environment. Not every couple drops the formalities, but that doesn't mean they don't love each other less or are uncomfortable with each other.

I am pretty happy with everything. For a slice of life drama I found everything to be quite perfect, that's why I am not bothered by the few strings that were left open. Though, I am gonna admid the love triangle had my blood boiling at some point.
I think the reason why I loved it much more than seemingly the most commentors before me is because more than story development I love character development and I feel like most characters went through a little change and we actually know about them now because we`ve seem their backstory.

I know that he's a very serious character with a dark history apparently but I came to a point where I don't really care for it that much. In his defense, he didn't do anything that bad yet, so I am not raising the red flag but he is already my least favourite character for sure. Especially because I really love the personality of our female lead right now.

I cannot believe that I AM SAYING this but I really don't hope for any kind of romance here. especially not between the main leads because I really don't like the first male lead. I am so over mean jerk guys tbh.
I know it's not listed in the genre, but sometimes crime, mystery dramas still have little hints of romance.

I just wanna point out that our fml is named Sol and Lee Yi Kyung is also here.

So I didn't like Minho from the beginning but I really think the writers were doing the utterly most in ep 14 when trying to show how hurt he is and blah blah. It was a little too much.
And don't think I forgot about it just because they really didn't mention it in ep15. BY only forgave him because it was convenient that he called.

I think the side stories are also very interesting, I love the whole supporting cast, but I'll guess we keep talking only about the love triangle because it is the continued storyline, wherease with poems and the storyline of side characters mostly remain for one episode only.
What I did notice was that they had much more poetry in the beginning and towards the end they also use songs, which is not bad but e.g. they only had one poem in ep 15 and it used to be 2 or three I think.

I feel the same. I do kinda like it but at the same time it's just so slow paced that it takes me forever to finish just one episode. I just can't get passed ep 6.
I also don't think it deserves a 9 in my opinion, a strong 8.3 I'd understand but for a 9 it just really lacks.

I already have SLS and I haven't even watched this. ugh. Jang Hyuk is too good to be the second lead.

Personally, the moment they introduces Dr. Ye I just kinda knew she'd fall in love with him. I don't really know how I knew it, it was just some kind of instinct. But you're definitely right. The setup is extremely common and normally she'd definitely fall for the flawed guy.
Honestly, I am so over that kind of lead. Characters can be nice and still be able to have room for development.
(Also, after watching ep 14 it doesn't seem like Minho went through any kind of development)

I don't like them both as leading actors. I don't think this will be good but well, I am open for surprises, though I am gonna judge after I see the ratings.
