This is like the first nuanced take about the book to adaptation I've read, and it makes very much sense.
But I still would NEVER call drama Luke a green flag, no way. And I still wouldn't call Flora a red flag either.

Hahahaha I can't believe how many people share your opinion but it confirms that everyone babies Luke and he is just human, but Flora gets demonized for behaviour that's not an ounce as bad as Luke's.

I understood that Luke got jealous when she was meeting her ex, but she rejected him clearly and it's not her fault that her ex still stood in front of her hotel room. She was just hugging her ex goodbye otherwise.
When else was she not keeping proper boundaries? With her male roommate who was clearly just a friend and who knew she was in a relationship?
The matchmaking event where she went to help her friend, whose business proposal Luke checked himself, where she had no idea they were making use of her name and account?

When else did Luke have to tolerate her "shit"? Compared to every single time he belittles her, insults her, ignores her, becomes mean?

Everyone is always so loud calling Flora a red flag and Luke is always only tolerating her, but there is so much less talk about their fight this time. I wonder why that is?

Communication goes both ways. Luke doesn't express his thoughts either. Not once has he confronted something that bothered him. Instead, he starts to ignore her, becomes mean again, starts a fight. This fight only didn't escalate because Flora did all the work. She could've made assumptions too because of his lack of communication.
And after explaining to him, he was still being distant and irritated. It's just that Flora is used to it by now. Also, he always falls back into his pattern of talking mean to her.

The German book has romance tagged as genre; and I personally only know the author to write romance/romance fantasy.
I'm not quite sure but I think I read somewhere that Zhao Lusi would like to film less romance, so maybe the adaptation has only little or none of it.

If I'm correct the book it's adapted from is "Für jede Lösung ein Problem", the english title being "For Every Solution, A Problem". And it's about a woman who writes very honest and angry farewell letters, only to fail at her suicide attempt and then having to live with the aftermath of her letters.

That sounds very interesting. I've been meaning to read more German books, so maybe that's my sign.

I mean, meeting your ex is probably never a very good thing, but she did told Luke in their beginning that they split amicably.
She went to the matchmaking event FOR HER FRIEND, the friend he knows works for a matchmaking agency. She explained everything.
She was not walking her dog with just another woman, but with her ROOMMATE, one of the people who also takes care of the dog for her.

I just know if the roles were switched, ppl would fight for Luke's right to walk his dog with his roommate, to help his friend with a matchmaking event, to have a simple reuinion dinner with his ex from 4 or 5 years ago, and they'd find it so sweet that he would want to go public and that he's thinking longterm about marriage and kids, and yes he could communicate better but Flora's words are just so unnecessarily mean - it's hard to communicate with someone who doesn't know how to respond.

I agree, but somehow it was more interesting than the last two episodes before, imo

As disappointing and nonsensical as this was (e.g. still don't understand why P'Jane is collecting blood for the favours) the chemistry is truly on another level, especially in the later half.
