Entertaining show

It was my first drama of this kind, this show was quite entertaining but the problem is in the few j-dramas that I saw the female characters lack personality, have 1 dimension character, always seems like a clueless girl who has 1 brain cell waiting for the ML to rescue her. This lack of depth truly harms j-dramas. Why the female lead still has to be mushy and naive even when she wants revenge for the murder of her mother?

The excessive use of the same flashback was unnecessary that I end up skipping them. I know for the plot, the characters end up doing some stupid actions like why Sakura would ask her nemesis to confess her crime?

The acting was great and no they are not emotionless.
The storyline has succeeded to make me curious about Japanese Culture. Each sweet was beautifully made to convey a great historic background. I really enjoyed everything that was related to sweets.
Props to Kyoko (Tsubaki's mom) I liked her character, she's a great actress!

Child Abuse, those words are mind aching. Nobody wants to face the truth because It's too hard to handle.
This story talks about those who are forgotten and ignored by society. When a child screams for help and endures such cruelty who is here to help? Parents mean the world for their child but when It's not the reality is there someone else to protect them?

This drama portrays the lack of children's protection, justice and the killer who I consider as an anti-hero felt so helpless that he knew he has to do something. I won't judge him or the victims, I don't know what I would do if I were in their shoes.

Props to Kim Sun Ah, who gave life to her character. She did an amazing job even though she had an introvert character her face told us everything. A very skilled actress I don't see anyone else doing it. Cha Woo Kyung has been through so much, I hope she will recover and live a great life.
Props to Lee Yi Kyung, who had great character development, he's a great actor.

I never thought I'll be able to finish this story and I don't regret it I felt so many things watching this drama: anger, sadness, happiness also rage. I held my tears so many times and It's only a glimpse from reality. So many children suffer from abuse in this world secretly.

Thank you for all the cast, the production, director, screenwriter for putting lights to those who suffer in silence.

It’s never too late to fight for the truth.

The media who are named the 4th Power.
The police are supposed to protect us.
The prosecution is here to defend us.

When those in power failed to achieve their duty, what can we do?
When the powerless are only pawns to them, who can help them?

The story follows Han Moo-Young who the system failed him. Who thought they could be on the right side and end up facing the hard pill to swallow.
This drama told us about what’s right and what is wrong.
Would you tell lies in order to be safe and live a comfortable life or fight for the truth no one wants to tell and being in danger?

When the higher-ups want to cover the ugly truth whatever it takes, the victims have nothing left to say and don’t have the power to claim justice.
This drama proves to us that the powerful side took the “easy“ road to get what they want.

In a world full of fake news this show has learned me a thing: never take news for granted or being totally true.
As long they are courageous people to fight right the injustice, this world still worth a chance. Before watching it I was already very suspicious of the media and those in power but now I don’t trust them at all.

Unique.

As Jong-Woo facing mental issues, the ending doesn't surprise me. Isolation, bullying, alienation, step by step he went into a black hole with no way out.

No one in his environment was sane and they all one after each other put his head into the water and pushing him off his limits. The residents of the hostel but mostly Moon Jo help him to embrace the darkness that it kept increase in him.

That rage he wanted to discharge, the power to do what he always wanted. In the head of Jong-Woo that's completely normal, he just reproduced what he constantly saw and always endured from others. "Others are hell, imma be worst then hell then.

The realisation was wonderful, the writers have done a great job in their search and to bring awareness to mental health. It felt pretty realistic.

The acting needed to be excellent so that the viewers would take the show seriously and being immersed into the darkness at the same time as Jong-Woo. Both I'm Shi Wan and Lee Dong Wook pull off a wonderful act, it was magistral. LDW was the perfect protagonist, he should take more often that kind of role.

Some people, blame the ML ending pitifully way but I have one question: Would you’ve done better? In these circumstances, how can you be sure to end up better than him?

Such a refreshing drama. A Great Casting. I know some of you all are disturbed by the age gap but this show wouldn't be the same without Jung So Min and Shin Ha Kyun.

Jung So Min nails her character I would say it's one of her best roles.
BPD is such a complex illness, I want to thank her and the writers for the way it was represented.

I hope this show would enveil to those who aren't aware of what it means to live with mental illness and the way it affects our loves ones. No, we don't fake it, we don't do it for attention. We're in pain and carry this burden every single day even tho you can see it.

Healing is a process, it's hard to admit we need help. But it's the first step of getting better.
Our mains leads acknowledged it and both travelled together in this long but necessary process.
Mental health is unfortunately still a taboo it's still not acknowledged and took seriously.
We're still not yet and with this kind of show we're slowly getting at it.

Props to Tae In Ho, he needs a main role!

The Perfect Thriller

Do you like mystery and psychological thriller? Then welcome, sit down and enjoy the story of this mysterious village where a serial killer strikes.

Beyond Evil never disappointed me, every episode pushed me to the edge of my seat. In the beginning, we kinda suspect every character because all of them are so mysterious and suspicious. They all got secrets and step after step we start to unravel the goal of each one of them. The dynamics of the main leads is like a mouse and a cat, they hate each other but can't be separate.

They have such chemistry together that's so good we can't remove our eyes from them. Every time they talk, we notice the closeness of their body, their sharping eyes looking at each other, the teasing and both have the goals to have to upper hand at the end of the conversation. But at the same time, the flow of their conversation is always deep and meaningful.

I truly believe that they play better together as a duo than most of the mains of rom-com dramas. They are both in equation even though they'll never admit it. Every episode kinda leaves you dumbfounded, you’ll ask what did you miss? Who's the monster between them?
It's a very well written drama, the screenwriters made a great choice to not tell right away everything but to leave the viewers made up their theories.

They’ve written the character in a realistic way that no one would find grace or sympathy in your eyes. No more perfect mains lead with a hero complex! Nope!
Every dialogue and micro expression of the characters is very important, you have to pay attention otherwise you’ll end up lost.

I started the drama because of Shin Ha Kyun and what a wonderful performance he gave me! Both him and Yeo Jin Goo played their characters like a perfect symphony and they carry the drama to another dimension.
