oh trust me I know what you mean! I also get caught up in dramas .. especially this one. I haven’t been able to move on since 2022, I watch it everyday! Also another pointer that made me feel at ease about lx using xu lina when zy doesn’t like her is how later he told her she will never be able to compare to zhu yun and i was likeeeee yeah period let her know lol

yeah i get your rant. i also hated how he had xu lina in it bc she felt like she had one up on zhu yun 🙄 honestly wished she would disappear but she got her karma cause old gao is horrible. even tho i know he had her to do it because it would be more believable, bc she never gave up on him even tho he was with zhu yun. ugh it still pisses me off cause she was so confident telling zhu yun she never liked her like girl obviously.. you’re jealous!! but zhu yun ate her up by saying she never liked her too. the shares part happened because if he left zhu yun the shares he knew she would put her life on the line for their company. the task to increase cancer by 1% and their way of development would be extremely tough on her alone, he didn’t want her to suffer. he didn’t want her in anything so that’s why he told old gao she was leaving the place to go abroad, that’s apart of why he pissed her parents off because they will continue her plans to go abroad, especially her mother bc she has been planning it since her freshman year. also yes zhu yun is the person li xun trusts the most but also the person he loves the most. he didn’t want her involved bc he knew fzj would target her next but gao end up being the mastermind and end up targeting zhu yun .. which was the main problem lx was trying to prevent which is why he gave up but zy stopped him, thankfully. i loved how she proved that she isn’t someone who can be threatened easily and it pissed me off that gao did that when zy was the one always trying to keep peace between them. Lastly, at the hot springs he was actually trying to keep his cool but he was barely holding on that’s why he told her we can’t be too honest. he was scared and created distance again but luckily she knows when he’s lying. later he says if she would have mentioned it, he would have agreed . I’m guessing mentioned a promise to make up when they were done dealing with the hard part of the revenge bc he kept saying to his friend how he will think ab it when everything’s done

it’s definitely about opinion.. on how one would define the difference between a break up and pause. people have different views and I understood the view perfectly from the person above. also im not trying to be rude.. more so im being sarcastic. also sure call it break up because i dont want to argue .. im just telling you what the characters thought of their time apart. ive watched this show 20+ times analyzed almost everything so my level of understanding is great so i will stop replying and let you watch the show. this isn’t a big deal but when you watch you will see why she said not really.

those suggestions you gave isn’t for this type of drama. this isn’t the drama with the multiple/exaggerated face expressions. also it doesn’t even fit the characteristics of hua zhi. zhang jingyi has never gave expressionless in any of her works.. her eyes speaks a million messages too. I promise I’ve seen expressionless and jingyi has never hit that list

bro they never said the words “let’s break up”. the actual cause of their three year break was his three year prison years. when he got out they were stubborn .. putting their feelings on hold because of fear and the company. they never stopped loving each other, they never moved on to someone else, they were with each other the entire three years apart mentally. they left each other physically but not emotionally.. that’s why the person said they didn’t break up because it’s literally not the case if we’re being honest… I would call it a break. the couple was aware of picking up where they left off because they reconcile and get married the next ep.. to them they were together 7 YEARS meaning THEY don’t acknowledge it as a “break up” so to US they were together 7 YEARS. you just have to watch the drama to understand. the real ones get it .. if you don’t sorry. hope this helps :)

this comment was two years ago but I have to check you for that comment of zhu yun blaming the guy for “mental issues”. fang zhi jing is definitely the cause of the girl suicide .. although it’s not just him. him and the girl were dating and they got caught. he was eager to get some type of position for the school so he said she seduced him which was a lie. his lie was the start of her bullying by students/classmates. she was tortured by rumors and zhu yun was the only one by her side. zhu yun went to him to get him to talk to her and he still didn’t.. the friend over heard it. that was the friend last straw. so for you to say he should’ve be blamed is absolutely bs! he turned on his girlfriend and let her be dragged as if he wasn’t in the relationship. It was more than a mental disorder .. depression has causes and hers was bullying bc of him. this is the start of fang zhi jing evilness also this is actually the start of zhu yun depression that people fail to realize. also, you talk about how she suddenly remembers her best friend death.. no she sees him and is broken all over again. this is called GRIEF .. it’s never over. zhu yun emotional state is overlooked in the drama but she wasn’t over her bestfriend death as you could tell when he showed up. even at the end she still feels like she didn’t do enough to avenge her. zhu yun also struggles with self image not knowing what she wants because her mother controls her like a puppet. like i said .. zhu yun mental state is overlooked in the show. when she finally found what she wanted her mom thought she was just boy crazy but i love how she reminded old gao that she wasn’t following li xun because of love but bc she wanted to build the company then reminded him she was TOP 1 in their class with the highest gpa. my girl is smart too and she knows what she wants. also you didn’t mention this but a few other do quite often.. but li xun did not give zhu yun depression. he was her last straw! I think people forget when he was locked up her parents locked her in the room.. I mean who wouldn’t feel like their going crazy and shut down??? again her parents also played a big part too. just like with zhu yun friend.. zhijing, the students AND the school staff played a big part in her death. anyways enjoy the rant.. i watched this show when it first came out and im literally on my 30th rewatch.. pay attention to details

no the guy is her childhood friend but they rarely ever meet. she doesn’t give him a chance and she’s honest ab her feelings. he helps her wanting more but deep down knows she doesn’t feel that way about him. the leads only have eyes for each other and i love that. also her friend doesn’t try to ruin their rs.. he’s a nice guy so don’t worry. he just wants a simple life.. he also likes the zhu yun her mom made.. not zhu yun for who she wants to be which you will notice when you watch.

this show is so freaking good!! I seen a few people thinking it would be mostly about her getting revenge on her husband but as you can see it’s not. they didnt drag it out and something even crazier happened bro each ep is amazinggg. the acting is so phenomenal

I don’t either friend. I’m guessing when Zhou ye does her makeup similar to jingyi style. Zhou ye does different style like the other day.. she looks like a different person to me. I’m not saying it’s on purpose or anything, they just don’t know her well enough to not get her confused . With or without makeup jingyi and Zhou ye don’t look similar. Jingyi has very unique features which make it easy to differentiate so idk how people get them mixed up.

i know others replied but I feel like they didn’t explain it correctly. she was a sex addict and in the show her parents put cameras in her room so she wouldn’t masturbate which cause harm to her mentally because being addicted to sex is a form of mental illness. she also gets sexually involved with the guy, he knew somewhat of her illness and decided to take advantage of it because he was a jerk. I don’t think the ml figured I out her mental illness soon enough, hence she was letting him “treat” her but she was actually attracted to him sexually, she can’t control those emotions. her parents locked her up instead of getting her help, she wasn’t able to pleasure her desires which drove her insane, which was expected. she end up taking her life because she felt trapped in her own mind .. this type of illness is overlooked &’ as someone in the mental health field.. im glad they covered this in the drama. I just wish they would have explained it more thoroughly.
