It seems that this movie is made for those who have read the book ( manga perhaps? ) that is based on. It was…
I agree. I watched the anime before this and I was still confused with their relationship progression and other plot points. This type of story definitely works as a slow burn, but it's too fast paced, a drama would give enough time to flesh everything out.
Do both main couples get equal screen time? or is it more focused on one more than the other?
Yes of course! I agree i wanted a special episode or something with all of them being happy together. Definitely watch it, you won't be disappointed. Though the ending isn't completely happy, i did like that the vibe of the show near the end was kinda upbeat and funny again making the ending a little easier to accept. Enjoy. XD

For all of it to make sense, you'll have to know that the two sisters are actually the reincarnation of the special Ganoderma Vein tree. The older sister Qingkui dies like 4 episodes before the end, she's still around in flower form though and in Yetan's hallucinations. Then Yetan dies in the last ep to save the world. The two husbands work hard to revive them and their flower forms eventually regrow into the tree. Strongly suggesting that one day, the two sisters will regain human form and be with their husbands.

hmmmm i actually think it was pretty balanced. If i'm remembering correctly, every episode or almost every episode both couples would have screen time. They'd jump from one sister's situation to the other sister's to show the contrast in their experiences.
this one is nicely shot but the last episode seemed so rush. it would have been nice to inject some of the dark…
do you remember which parts had humor? I don't really remember any moments. This show was dark and tragic for me. Also Kyung Ja didn't know Mi Mo was her granddaughter
Kyung Ja should've found out that Mi Mo was her granddaughter, the one she's trying to kill. BUT if the reveal was to happen I think Mi Mo would've been in the same room, so I guess it's good it didn't get revealed, that little girl already has enough trauma to deal with, watching her grandma and mom die and see that the tteokbokki granny she loved so much tried to kill her then get shot?
Lee Jun Young acting like that got me scared! That was a nerve wracking scene. Especially after he was a gumdrop in love and leashes. Sorry not sorry, i liked how Chun Ae and Mo Mi pulled the rope in two different directions, great teamwork
OMG surprisingly I love Kim Momi more than I thought I would. Her story is just heart wrenching and her story…
they deserved happiness after they killed that abusive boyfriend. Like they said, they were twins, experienced the same past and understood each other, they were the friend the other needed
I still love the previous eng title of this drama "Love When The Stars Fall"
Yes, poetically beautiful. Also I think it kinda references the start of the true romance of both couples falling in love with each other when they watch the meteor shower together. Youqin "makes a star fall" and gifts it to Yetan.
Only one word for this show: PEFECTION! Super funny, romantic, cute, intense, super sad, magical, beautiful, great chemistry, great costumes, great wirework, lovable characters every single one, not too much angst (it can be a headache sometimes), great ost, beautiful cinematography. Uh I love this drama to pieces! Soooo good, I'm devastated that it's ended. I've grown so attached to the characters, I feel empty now lols. Great show. Perfect.
