Well, based on the first ep, the most important woman in this show is now dead, so I don't think we'll be seeing…
I'm sorry but I'm very confused about your comment ?
- The series shows a violent and misogynistic society but it doesn't necessarily mean that the message (of the author, director, etc.) behind is misogynistic ? Maybe it is making a statement on how things are in this little (and not so quiet) town ? Personally, I'd wait a little more before concluding anything. After all, it is only the first episode.
-You find it boring (and that's ok since after all it is how you feel) but you also say suspense is good ? So I'm a little confused here. Unpleasant, I understand, because of the scene of the autopsy and the murders. It is to be expected since this is a crime drama.
- The detachment you speak about when the doctor does the autopsy with his intern is quite expected especially with difficult works like forensics etc. They are confronted to death (and horrible deaths). They need to detach themselves from reality in order to be "sane". I think it is also a reason why the main character goes to clubbing and gets drunk ? He needs to forget what he does as a daily job...
- You can see he's not so detached when it is his friend who is murdered (contrary to the first victim he doesn't know).
Yeah I am kind of upset that rating is stuck at 9.2 eventhough many people are rating it everyday so I don't know…
It wasn't that competitive at the beginning (even friendly). But yes it has been getting quite toxic because BL is getting more famous...But I think social media are also quite toxic : there is basically no obstacle for being a jerk lol. Also generally no show should be put on a pedestal, otherwise, you'll be no longer a reasonable fan...It is one of the reason I've stopped watching that other series, the level of admiration was too high for me and I was scared lol
I don't understand a part of the comment section. If you don't like a show (or dislike it so much), why not drop it and be done with it ? Don't force yourself ?! Why watch season 2 if you don't like season 1 ? You're bound to be disappointed then...
OMG I didn't expect the first episode to be that good ! I'm still at the beginning though. The actress is also really amazing. If the following episodes are as gripping as the first one, I think it might be my favorite kdrama.
The actor playing Kurosawa was impressive (and very touching) in this episode ! Best episode for now. Lovely series which is ironically cliché. There's a certain calmness and contemplative atmosphere emerging from the series I like too.
I'm just at the beginning of the series. For now, it is quite interesting but I think the first 2 episodes lack some kind of "subtlety" and are a bit too obvious. The overly dramatic music is also not helping. Less would have been better.
Your failure to relate has more to do with your sexual orientation as this is written by a gay man yearning to…
So what I say : "I'm sorry but I disagree strongly when people starts a competition in who has it worst....otherwise I can also easily compared too the situation of people dying from starvation in Yemen and the situation of LGBT+ people and say : "Hey, Yemen people has it worst. So, LGBT+ people : why complaining ?" Nope. It's not an enough good argument. "
And for you it means this : "stop trying to call straight people oppressed because THEY'RE NOT.".
I'm sorry but I don't know how you've come to that conclusion from what I have written.
PS : you can say thank you to the people dying from starvation in Yemen, because for you they are just straight people that should just shut up. How considerate.
However, one thing is sure. I won't bother replying anymore to people who are not honest, distort your words and are aggressive while I've been respectful in my words. I've better things to do. So blocked.

Calling fans of BL fujoshis is not harmless : the word implies AT THE SAME TIME homophobia and misogyny : because romantic relationships between men is considered as "rotten" and women having this hobby are also considered as "rotten", having "dirty thoughts". The word has been used by BL fans themselves as a mean of self-defense - or self-depreciation since "Fujoshi" was used at the origin by the anime and the gaming (largely male) fandoms against yaoi (mainly) fangirls....
Nobody should be pointed at just because of a "hobby", their gender or their sexual orientation.
I also disagree strongly about the heavy separation you put between "straight" and LGBT+ but that is another subject and it'll be too long for this page of discussion....

Edit : it is based on a novel and the author is a real doctor if I remember correctly ?
