Just a thought. Wasn't "Addicted" huge though and I won't speak about the hit that was the "Untamed" (more bromance but....BL is still heavily implied) ? I'm not sure you can say only one country popularises it ? It is also heavily influenced by Yaoi, a popular genre from Japan (Ossan's love was also a success). I see it more like a long process with many actors in it contributing to its popularity whether.
Something seems off with this series. I don't know if it's the pace, the acting, etc. I'll try to watch a little more to see if I still feel the same. For now, I have difficulty getting into the story, etc.

Legendary BL. And such incredible actors too. This show and "Where your eyes linger" are my favorite BL from this year ! You can feel the sincerity behind it.
