Everyone around her is powerful, rich, and influential enough, and she's just some random designer with a dad who went to prison for murder (he was framed, but still.) *Big* disadvantages for multiple/obvious reasons. She can't afford to come back as the regular, old Cha Jung-Won anymore. Our girl's gotta level up... henchmen, security, self-defense, morally grey ethics... and smart as hell too.

The pacing of this drama is pretty fast, but 5 YEARS??? That's crazy, man 💀 let's aim for a year or two.

Jung-Won needs power & money right now though, she's gotta be on an even playing field, if that makes sense. Ditto on the stabbing though... kidnap him, torment him... preferably set a warehouse on fire with him inside lol

I see that happening! YC isn't pure evil, a terrible person, yes, but she's been shaped like this because of her evil mom. The fall will finally change YC, I think she was jealous of JW (and vice versa), but not to the point where she actually wanted JW to DIE!

Jung-Won dying is a possibility, but I think she'll disappear or her death will be faked, go abroad... and then she comes back with a new identity & more power to take down the villains. Waiting for her to be ruthless. Hye-Ra will likely help her with that, and Min-Jung (Secretary Yoon) too.

Options 1 and 2 are my best bet. Tae-Seok is a pure psychopath... just wicked! I absolutely expect him to die at the end!

YC is pretty dumb too... she's been stupid. HR stepped down as the vice chairwoman so she has no power (aside from shares, most likely.) Ha-Neul is too nice and I don't see him changing.

You have a point, but it took Jae-In from Queen's House 62 episodes to become dead-set on revenge. Lee Hye-Won from The Two Sisters (as awful as it was?) About 70-80 episodes in, for her to stoop down to Bae Do-Eun's level. Gu Eun-Jae from Temptation of Wife, 47 episodes. Gu Hana from Cinderella Game, about 65 to 70 episodes? There's many more examples I can think of from other dailies. All after more than one major loss + a near-death experience. That's the whole point of character growth. Doesn't need to happen ASAP... usually.

As for Ha-Neul? He sticks out a lot, being the *only* good person in the show. I highly doubt he'll change. Hye-Ra might stop playing both sides, but she hasn't done enough either. I also don't find her to be very smart. But maybe her daughter's near-death will shake her back to reality or some form of common sense. Killing off JW is way too risky and there's too many villains around her... so the only way to go is on a highway to hell.

It's a daily makjang, don't expect realism from it lol but I see a time-skip happening, possibly.

Damn, that happened in Red Shoes too! FL's husband (Min Hee-Kyung, not Gemma) turned out to be her daughter Gemma Kim's real father, and not her abusive ex-husband (who'd gotten killed (he also raped her... messed up, I know.)

I'd go ballistic if I were her too... in fact, I'm pretty sure I'd do WAY worse than identity fraud (even though YC ASKED HER TO DO IT!!!!) if I were in JW's shoes. It's just k-drama fans hating on FLs as usual. Same thing happened with Jae-In in Queen's House even after her shift to an anti-heroine. People claim they're tired of "good FLs" and once they get one that's not ordinary, it's somehow STILL a problem (a very recent example of this is Dear X with a sociopathic & villainous FL.)

I want JW to be ruthless and ruin these assholes SO bad. Also, just for pettiness I hope she becomes just as cruel & wicked as some of the other characters. It's the only path she can go at this point. As I said before... too many villains & antagonists around her.

I can see this going one of 3 ways:

1. She survives, but with amnesia/memory loss.
2. She fakes her death and returns under a new, foreign identity. Powerful.
3. She wakes up and becomes completely dark (à la Miss Monte-Cristo.) Like, villainous. And nobody will get in her way.

The worst option is JW dying and HR becoming the new protagonist... a lot of people already dislike HR, but even k-drama Naver bloggers don't want JW killed off. I kinda dislike JW right now, but you have to admit that she's quite active and fierce as the FL, she didn't start off as a naive sweetheart and I like that.

The quality has gone down a little writing-wise... I'd say that the first half was much better- so far.

Ah, the board meetings... sometimes they have major reveals, other times they're mind-numbingly boring.

I definitely like the original ending theme over the second one lol, I also like the BGM too!

Episode 11 was BEAUTIFUL. Just cinematic perfection!

Also, I predicted Jae-Oh dying a few episodes ago... I doubt that devotion would get him anywhere. I love how the characters are written and portrayed. But Jun-Seo... for some reason I can't stand him 💀 I get that he was a victim of Ah-Jin, but DAMN, he's such a hypocrite. Unfortunately people like him do exist in real life! Now he wants her to suffer? PLEASE! Spare me the bullshit!

PS: Do-Hyuk is a VERY sick man. Fuck that guy, but daaaamn, if he and Ah-Jin ain't a match made in hell!

I've summed it up to people not being used to psychological thriller dramas, not used to dramas without (much) romance, not used to dramas following a villainous protagonist, and not used to dramas with a morally grey/evil cast. Also, it's mostly realistic, because sociopaths like Ah-Jin really do exist and do awful things. There are awful people in the world and there are enablers of said awful people. And often, awful people tend to win and/or get away with the worst shit. That's... just reality.

Hye-Ra is basically the deuteragonist anyway. Older protagonists are usually not seen in daily dramas... Ha-Neul becoming dark does sound very fun! But they've definitely killed off FLs before... looking at YOU... Gracious Revenge.

I'm on episode 11 and this show is stressing me out SO BAD! I need a break but I'm hooked and I'm determined to finish this 😭 1 episode left to go!
