I was rolling my eyes while watching that scene. I absolutely have no sympathy for WTY.
I have seen clips they will have a really steamy scene and I think we might get it in upcoming episodes, so for now I don't think they have consummated yet. It seems she will get pregnant by ep 29 so it might happen either ep 28 or 27.
I noticed that the scene when Dou Zhao visited Song Mo's camp during his birthday, they were about to kiss again but the scene got cut suddenly.

I hope so too that he doesn't declare his love for Dou Zhao knowing she is already married and that he doesn't become an annoying 2nd ML 😭

I share the same sentiments with you, I didn't want him to develop romantic feelings for her too and become a 2nd ML because it really didn't fit the narrative of his wise character knowing he was the same monk in previous life. However, the director is clearly taking that direction here. On the other hand, I think we should take into account that this is their second life, FL is only one who remembers the past at the same time, we were shown how some of the characters turned to have different personalities/fates compared to their previous life, an example of that is Dou Ming and Wu Shan. So, as I expressed in my earlier comment, I was disappointed with this arc in the story.

"they cry without crying" I disagree with what you mean here, the actors delivered a convincing enough performance during this scene even if the tears might seem excessive, but the emotions they depicted during such scenes were "really crying".

I had same issue with the WTY scene, like that was so unnecessary to let him reunite with DM when he clearly didn't deserve her (that scene disappointed me a lot). Like, he got beaten a few times, insulted then his precious painting burnt then dies and reunites with DM in afterlife, was so unsatisfying to watch meanwhile DM suffered a lot more worst. I think they consummated their marriage already, otherwise it wouldn't make sense that DZ is pregnant.

It's not just empathy, he was born entirely unable to feel and recognize emotions. In short he is emotionless. Yeah, that could be direct reference with the dead tree representing him and the flower blooming to represent his emotions. We all know in cdramaland "Love" is the most powerful emotion. If it is simply for friendship, that won't be convincing and logical enough, it would turn to weak writing/directing. Plus, the signs he shows in latest episodes indicates of romantic feelings he is unaware of.

yeah, I knew that but its inevitable for him to be away from hatred and revenge since justice needs to prevail here just hope the story arc for that would be satisfying

I disagree. His actions before Dou Zhao got married to Song Mo were that of a caring friend. However, this recent actions of his in the latest episodes during the timeline of Song Mo and Dou Zhao's marriage tells clearly of his romantic feelings he is unaware about. Here is one well detailed scene that hints of this said romantic feelings he has for Dou Zhao, in the scene after the incident with the bandits, he quickly went to see Dou Zhao but instead saw her with Song Mo, his expression in that scene plus how he forgot he was even injured speaks loudly of this romantic feelings. If his feelings were platonic, he would have noticed his injury first but he didn't. That scene alone proved how much he cared a lot for Dou Zhao. Another is
in EP 25, his dialogues expresses his jealousy.

I wonder how they will plan to miraculously cure ML from that said incurable poison. Hope it will be a satisfying one that wouldn't require unnecessary sacrifices, because if this ends up as a tragic sad ending drama then the whole rebirth plot would be useless.

Kinda expected it that Ji Yong will be SML here and fall in love with FL eventually. However, I wish they had done it sooner before Dou Zhao got even married, now they are showing signs of him being jealous and overly protective towards Dou Zhao, hindering her at some point, this is kind of an unnecessary arc for me. I rather they had maintained the good friendship they had like how they depicted his bond with her in earlier episodes, so annoyed with how his character turned out as a 'jealous SML' in this episode. Initially loved his character when they were just platonic friends and kept to the consistency of him being unable to feel emotions. This part made me disappointed a little, thought it was too sudden that he could feel emotions of love.

this type of style has always been what gjm is known for, he is the only director who does this, understandable if you aren't used to it or it is not to your liking...he has always added slow effects on his fight scenes to give emphasis on movements and details that gets overlooked in fast/normal pace, same goes for the focus in the eyes, it's to highlight characters emotions more

If you like dramas that focuses more on romance then you will like this. The destined/fated lovers trope is well executed here and leads have a wonderful chemistry. There are kisses in this and many more other intimate scenes to come.
