I disagree with bad reviews. While the plots have lot of flaws and being old/common. The business is kinda unrealistic as well. However I enjoy the side effect of the storyline and those good human beings. Especially their conversations and how they resolves conflicts philosophically with speech and warm hearts ❤️ Those are always refreshing and convey so many life lessons. I like this more than JP version since i dropped that long ago.
Those who don't get it won't get it. The 9.5 review is correct, this is thoughtful and well written in most aspect.

ironically she married to the man almost double her age while playing older woman roles in many shows.

guys should check out Otoko Meshi (2016) i just put in the recommendations section. I like that even better than this, yet they have very similar settings and humor.

i dont get it, he/she watched it 4~5 times already and give it a 9/10.
they might however give a 10/10 easily on some K-drama who knows

being a man i cant stand the ML any more pass ep2. dropped 1/10 for being the most bs bf ever.

the most favorable character is Ikemen sensei, other than that iyada

the cast, they are the future of jdrama, i must watch this

greed, corruption, brain washing, trashing on mainstream media, censorship... lol you know what im talking about. So relative to current politic situation.

I rarely watch kdrama cos they are usually dragging and disappointing. but this show is different. skip all the tragic parts make it great show. Also the OST is exceptional and blend in very nicely. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ8REBRGfUA).
I also feel the reality that we are facing in real life right now is cleverly portrait in the plots as well. highly recommend.

this show is on par with hanzawa naoki. people just dont appreciate it enough. The acting, the facial expressions, the plots and twists... charming, humorous, intensive, mysterious...simply 10/10.

P/S: Dont let the top reviewer ruin the shows. he spoiled the show himself and drop it and blame on bad acting etc. Yoshitaka Yuriko acting is perfect here. everybody does great job as well. you just have to finish the whole drama to evaluate them correctly, hence rewatch value.
Lucky my native subteam had finished it before ENG team hehe.

2004 is way better. more thoughtful. 2016 is dragging at the end.
