I feel bad for TXN but that's the situation now. He is allowed to have a personal life, without this life coming into public (unless we are taking about illegal and unethical stuff), but there is nothing we can do atm. I know new rumors keep coming out about past GFs and I'm like "everyone wants a piece of that cake". As for the other company maybe sabotaging this production, I would stay in a gray area because it's business after all.

Because, as they said in one of the first episodes, the law in SK is that without the dead body, you can not arrest anyone, even If there are body parts or blood in their house because it could be a foul play. You need the dead body, with strong evidence, to link with the actual killer. Hence why, Dong Shik, was looking for her body after he found her fingers in the basement and after no body, he decided to put the fingers on public display in front of his house, so the police could start suspecting what happened and arrest him with evidence later on
I am a huge fan of the Kdarama "Beyond Evil" so I was very excited about the news of the Japanese remake/adaption (dunno what is the best word, sorry). I shall wait for more episodes to come out and then I can start, but from the online comments so far for the first 2 episodes, it's looking good :)
After those rumors about the novel writer came out, I wrote that I am out of here, but now I decided to watch the first 3 episodes that will air in a few days and see If I like it or not. Tbh I was not impressed with the trailer but maybe the first 3 episodes can change my mind. Let's see!

What about that guy in episode 1 that GC gave to CC as "spoils of war" after he lost the snake fight? It did not seem to me that he was willing to get laid with CC or understood why he was there, what was happening (I assume it was the guy GC was getting laid with and as per CC style he will make a move on his guys? Idk, I'm speculating because CC asked for him after he won the fight). Maybe his mind changed later on but he was frighthen in the beginning (at least that's what he looked like to me). So, while I agree with you that most cases are with consent, maybe there is a small percentage that is not, hence why, at least in CC's case, he can make fans uncomfortable (I'm liking my red flags but that's another topic).

I went back to watch the leaked footage, and yes, it looks pretty spicy and sexy. Of course, this being an uncensored, Chinese BL got people worked up and in a way, rightfully. But of course, I agree with you. Not in defense of the series (I love it but I can see some cons here and there) but because, as I said in my first comment after watching the episode, there is creative decisions being made that the end result can be different from the shooting process. Especially, for a make-out/sex scene eg hands, kisses, adding BGM, editing etc. Of course, I get that even without the leaked footage some fans would still not like it and that's totally valid!
