I'm thinking out loud: I was under the impression that they have already filmed the series since last year and are now airing the final product (after post production editing). Since it's only airing outside of China, what can the government do? Ban them from airing the remaining episodes when these episodes are under foreign TV channels/websites? I assume black-listing the actors would be the other option. Or, as the are doing, blacklisting/blocking/banning tags, videos, photos etc on Douyin and their social media.

This was a great series, full of chemistry and good actors, but it really is sad that the ship is done 😔 I dunno all the details, because one company is making the other look dirty, but I feel sorry for SmartBoom. This would have been their opportunity to expand their careers, make brand deals etc. Thank you to the cast and staff who made this series happen. I can only wish them the best from now on 😔❤️
I remember there was some news about a Japanese remake over a year ago but nothing after that, so I lost hope lol As a huge fan of the original series, I will definitely give this a go! The trailer seems good and of course I am expecting some changes here and there, due to the Japanese setting. Just keep the homoerotic tension between then two MLs and we good 😁

I didn't expect to love this so much, omg 😭 I watched all the episodes in less than a week, it is THAT GOOD! It combines both BL and thriller/horror, which is *chef kiss* for me.
