So how is it going? Kim Du Sik must have stopped you from adding it to your "watch and regret" pile by now i hope?
Yes, Han Hyo Joo and Zo In Sung have spared this drama from being added to my "watch and regret" pile—for now, at least. xD

This is exactly what I signed up for: outstanding acting that delivers emotional depth and captivates you. In just two episodes, especially episode 9, they accomplished what the first seven episodes couldn’t. The scene where she was waiting for him—the way she sighed, looked, and spoke—was pure brilliance. She’s just too good.

Honestly, I wish (though I know it won’t happen) they’d stay in that timeline until the drama ends. After experiencing that level of excellence, I can’t bear the thought of going back to Bong Seok. šŸ˜’

I started watching this drama with sky-high expectations, fully convinced that Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, and Kim Du Sik were the leads—because, you know, that’s what the cast list promised—and naturally, I assumed they’d have most of the screen time. Silly me. Instead, here I am, subjected to the unbearable antics of Bong Seok. If it weren’t for the excessive violence which feels like an attempt to seem edgy, I could’ve sworn I was watching a Saturday morning cartoon for kindergartners.

I gritted my teeth through the stupidity and cringe, hoping things would improve, but by the last couple of episodes, I started fast-forwarding scenes because honestly, I couldn't bear to sit through it all. By episode 7, I was seriously considering putting this drama on hold. But then episode 8 rolled around, and it seems like there might finally be some hope of seeing the elite actors actually act.

So here I am, still holding on. Hopefully this drama can redeem itself. Fingers crossed, because if it doesn’t, I’ll be adding it to my ā€œwatch-and-regretā€ pile.

When I saw the news and the photo, I got excited thinking Kim Min Jung was finally making her comeback. But it turns out it's just a guest role. :/ It's been three and a half years since her last starring role in the amazing drama The Devil Judge. I started wondering if she got married, as many Korean actresses tend to step away for a while after getting engaged but that was not the case. So, what's going on? šŸ¤” It's really odd, especially since she's such a talented actress.

By the way, y’all need to rewatch their conversation during the interview, this time keeping in mind that he already knew by then that she could... šŸ˜ This perspective sheds light on the ML's behavior during the interview and makes it so much more understandable.

woah, exactly me😯 i'm waiting for this since the news of this pairing... a crazy waiter since day one. but…
I kept mentioning the drama to my sister, since she likes YYS, and told her several times how much I am excited for it. After watching the first two episodes, I went to her with kinda pissed off face, and told her : Do you remember the drama that I kept telling you about, it just came out and I watched the two episodes... " and she replied : yea, YYS' drama! Not good? It wasn't as you expected?". I smiled and screamed HELL NAH!! IT'S EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT šŸ˜‚ now she is waiting for it to finish airing to watch whole thing, me, I tried to postpone watching it because I hate waiting... But I couldn't do it

It warms my heart to see one of my favorite Korean actors deliver such a masterpiece. 😊

I’ve noticed many people are surprised by how good this turned out, but I’ve personally been waiting for it for months. My expectations were sky-high, and I’m thrilled that it delivered. If it continues at this level, it could easily make a strong case for being the best K-Drama of the year!

The drama should’ve been titled ā€œThe Immortal Pimpā€ šŸ˜ŒšŸ‘Œ because that’s the most accurate summary of the entire series.

Now, let me start by saying I love Ji Chang Wook—he’s one of my favorite Korean actors. But even his charm couldn’t save this mess of a show. This drama is painfully average at best, and honestly, calling it average feels like I’m being generous. Where do I even begin?

First, the characters. Or should I say, cardboard cutouts masquerading as people. There’s absolutely zero character depth, and development? Forget about it. The leads are so one-dimensional it’s almost impressive. They seem to have two modes: evil or dumb—there’s no in-between. It’s like the writers got bored halfway through and decided, "Let’s make everyone insufferable." The only person I remotely cared about was the prosecutor. The rest? I wouldn’t have blinked if they all fell off a cliff.

Then there’s the storytelling. What storytelling, you ask? Exactly. The plot is an incoherent, jumbled mess. It’s like someone threw a bunch of clichĆ©s, random violence, and melodrama into a blender and hit "puree." Speaking of violence, it’s completely senseless and over the top. Instead of adding tension, it just feels like a cheap gimmick to shock the audience.

The one redeeming factor should’ve been the cast, right? I mean, the lineup is stacked. But nope, not even they could salvage this train wreck. It’s like watching a group of world-class chefs trying to make a gourmet meal with expired instant noodles.

Re-watch value? Zero. Not even a second glance. For anyone curious about this show, let me save you some time: skip it. Do yourself a favor and watch The Worst of Evil instead if you didn't yet.

Honestly, the only thing this drama succeeded in was making me reconsider my life choices for sticking with it until the end.

i remember this drama only have like 400++ comments in few days before airing, but now it turns to 1900+ comments😯😯…
I’ve really missed this genre: Mystery, Thriller, and Romance (and I’m sure most people feel the same) . The last truly amazing drama I watched with similar themes was Flower of Evil years ago, which probably explains why I’m so excited—just like everyone else!

Can't help but imagine Yoon Kye Sang also perfect for the role of Baek Sa Eon. I mean...
Yoo Yeon Seok is an outstanding and versatile actor, already showcasing pure class in his performance within the first two episodes.

If the male lead role had been given to a lesser actor, I might have considered other top stars in this genre, like Lee Joon Gi or Ji Sung. But there’s no need—Yoo Yeon Seok always delivers.
