Disappointing
Not sure if I'll drop a spoiler, so I'm putting the warning up.Ok, I love Chinese costume drama.... and of course I have some favorite actors. I have only stuck around this long because of the ML. The FL though is grating on my last nerve.
I don't know if I'm the only one, but she greatly portrays the same characteristics of female villains. I find her pretty unlikeable.
I'm still trying to finish this, only because I have nothing else to watch right now.
Maybe things will improve, doubtful though.

Nothing but CCP propaganda
Possible spoilage in the future......I do talk about violence that may be missing from scenes. Don't know if this actually reveals spoilers, but just in case, there may be some.
I like the actors, and that's the only reason I gave this two seconds of my time. The acting in the first 12 episodes is good. I think Zhao Lusi seems a bit too convinved on how wonderful the Communist Party is. Not even Zhao Lusi is that perky about a government party. Especially one that wasn't above shooting you right in the street. I do find it amusing that they never even infer about the copious torture they used on their own citizens, in the name of 'possibly' uncovering a spy.

Too irritated to continue watching.
I love both main actors, but the way they wrote the female lead is too irritating to watch. I have never been a fan of characters that can not make intelligent judgments. Maybe she gets better later on as the series goes on, but at this moment it has lost all enjoyment. If someone wants to let me know where it gets more interesting, please give the episode number.
