Ive watched eps 1-8 SO MANY TIMES.. Gave up on Eng subs months ago, now in comments some people are mentioning eng subs. I think the WOOWOO releases are only Japanese..?? What is the Polish site? Are the translations just MTL and incomprehensible? Also... is it possible that the original filmed version is hidden away in some very secure locker and will eventually appear with perfect subtitles in all of our viewers languages..???
Speaking as an older, much older,person suffering from the horrible worse every day news around us, I really appreciated this over the top slapstick show. Do you think older actors are not convincing romantic partners? I do wonder if older actors with lots of face work may have a bit of reduced expressiveness??? It does look as though the direction and writing are incoherent.. but its interesting to see the different stories "why people divorce?". Story line is meaningful for a low birth rate country with many ,Im told, issues re respect for women and support for both members in the marriage unit..So, interesting & enjoyable.

Subtitles are generally getting much worse..its not just gender thing..they simply dont make any sense. I long for the old days of fan translations..those wonderful dedicated people. Now its all robotic MTL, and robots dont care about logic, subtlty or complex plots or interactions

There is a good fan translation of the first part of the novel, very sensitively done, but dropped when Eng trans rights were purchased..then new rights holders have done NOTHING. MTL translation of the rest is out there..totally souless..a forshadowing of the dud literature about to be dumped upon us by the machine
Im reading the novel now and rewatching those precious 8 episodes... When something is edited in video..somehow I still feel like I saw it happen..like when Pei Su blows a kiss..but in vid its a finger flick, somehow I think I saw that kiss Waiting so eagerly for next episodes, the plot is so multilayered and so many of the characters are interesting and well developed..its not just focused on the main leads.. Great story..censorship is a fact of life..so many forces are trying to throttle down on the human spirit, I dread our future and want to celebrate the little bits we still have
Dakaichi is NOT a pc story...also, its been around forever, so all of perfectly appropriate pc comments have been made... So stop watching or enjoy the great characters
Since this drama is clearly another of the Sherlock, Holmes, Moriarty versions I dont see how reworking a classic alteady reworked by many can be called plagerism. Also, how can people complain about a cliffhanger since the original story ends in a cliffhanger. Anyway, I really enjoyed all of the characters and settings. Appreciated FL's athleticism..quite cool.

The scenes are shot in a fuzzy middle ground which removes all of the energy. Whenever there is a big moment the camera just "points" at it..and for too long, as if the viewer might miss it. Script has the same dumbed down quality..no more fun.. Was it written by AI. I'm so heartbroken..loved series One so much . What happened to that talented crew????
New owner so attractive ...Kim Dae Soo..maybe his role name. Sadly, don't think he will have much to do in this just a few cute guys story. If they used his vibe there is potential for mysterious fun plot
