possibly French from 1960's. I feel free to express my prejudices to you ..as you don't hold back at all. To me Mile&Apo appeared in this series as a draw to allow the script and the other actors a chance to shine.

Lately vids are boring, so I'm rewatching KinnPorche, love these guys.. they have such on screen vitality. Will grab hankies and rewatch Shine when I finish KP. Loved it . Great exploration of woman's "issues", but with a very nuanced view of the bad guys (male&female). Emphasis on megotiated win-win settlements was refreshing in a world of aggressive melodramatic legal stories. Loved the ending

Such a great review..maybe because I responded the samme way? Saw complaints about lack of MileApo buzz.. but I love that they have matured so much as actors and no fanservice is needed. Apo will always seem to me to be a glowing light who has to tamp it down to fit into the world safely. All the actors were great..esp Dhevi, so convincing. Again, great review

Not similar to Zombie Detective at all. This inept series looks like an effort to imitate Japanese pseudo realism, but it's just flat..
Zombie Detective had really fun characters and a meaningful overarching story.. Maybe the acting was over the top but it was really enjoyable. One of my favorites

Somehow you omitted Signal (2016) from the detective list..
It's got such a great story and wonderful actors
