i'm in the middle of watching it and I literally am getting a headache trying to sort out whats happening with…
lmao if you want to enjoy this show you pretty much have to give up on even trying to make it make sense. i've never actually seen any of it besides the gay parts but i'm sure the rest of it is just as bad. the writers don't give a single shit about continuity in any way. literally halfway through the show pete's entire bedroom completely changes. or how sandee just fucking disappears towards the end, as if she wasn't the crucial device that ties pete/kao to the main storyline. also there's no real development of their relationship, things just happen and we're supposed to smile and nod along. god, i could talk forever about how bad this show is. hopefully pete/kao were the worst written storyline in the whole thing.

taynew are cute and all but this show makes no god damn sense!! every time i try to rewatch it, i really struggle to figure out what the hell is going on and it just MAKES NO SENSE!!!! it starts with pete and kao and sandee all talking, then there's a flashback to pete and kao in high school, then suddenly it's pete and kao and sandee on their first day of college??? like the first two pete/kao scenes just!! make no fucking SENSE in the timeline??? where do they belong?????? also like once i tried to watch the pete/kao scenes from kiss the series and they're like... entirely different characters. this show is crazy lmao. anyone who says they like it just say you like watching cute boys kiss and go. i genuinely hope deep blue kiss is better than this shit because the petekao ep of our skyy wasn't that bad and i do think tay and new are cool dudes.

I’ve never posted anything on here before, and probably no one will read this, but I just wanted to say something…
I love the way Pick and Rome are pretty much equally mean to each other. It’s so easy to victimize Rome and act like he’s a clueless little naive baby, but he knew exactly what he was getting into with his relationship with Pick. Rome enjoyed chasing after someone who was a challenge for him, as he said, it’s worth more when you have to work for something. He was being just as much manipulative (leading Pick to believe he outed him to his dad, using Din to make Pick jealous) as Pick was. With the exception of Pick making Rome believe he was bit by a poisonous snake and he was going to DIE if they didn’t AMPUTATE his foot, but I like to just skip all the camping storyline altogether when I rewatch honestly... The jealous tension is almost too well acted and makes me so uncomfortable.

I felt the way they had Pick slowly come to terms with his sexuality was actually kind of realistic and I found it really compelling. It was like he really knew he liked Rome and wanted to be with him, but his internalized homophobia was eating him from the inside. You can see it in the way he can't even be stubborn enough to stay mad at Rome, even when he thought Rome literally outed him to his dad. He still waited all afternoon to apologize for yelling at him, and seriously, Rome deserved to be yelled at if he had actually done that. I found myself loving Pick because he was so unlike that respective character in other shows I've seen where an out character waits for his closeted boyfriend to stop being a tool. For one thing, he didn't want to date Rome in secret, instead leaving both of them free while he figured his sexuality out. It only seems like he's stringing Rome along because Rome was allowing himself to be strung along and wanted to wait for Pick. He had plenty of room to stop their whole situation any time he wanted. Also, Pick can be a stubborn asshole, but he also has a pretty good response time. He yelled at Rome and the next day he went to apologize. The camping trip happened and on the way home Pick let Rome know about his feelings. I've seen plenty of characters in a similar storyline just proceeded to ignore and avoid their counterpart for weeks. Pick already has a problem talking about his feelings and I feel like he had a great amount of development in that area throughout the show.

And Rome, the second he called Pick sexy at the end of the season one, his character became so interesting to me. You only get to see more of that subtle cheekiness hidden behind his coy demeanor in this season. He knows he has Pick wrapped around his finger and he constantly pushes buttons that Pick would never let anyone else push because of it. Rome would be bored if he just had someone who worshipped the ground he walked on like Din, he wants his tsundere boyfriend that he has to thaw out first. And truly, I really related to him, when Pick finally said he loved him, I burst into tears. It really felt like it was worth the wait and heartache. I don't normally like relationships like that, but it's hard to be mad at it when Rome wanted it and knew what he was doing and could have ditched any time he wanted to.

Yes, the Rin storyline is a little weird, but I understand Pick testing out the waters. I don't really feel like he was doing Rome that wrong by doing so, he made it clear that they "weren't dating" and he was "letting" Rome test things out with Din too. Obviously if Rin had been real, Pick would have ended up with Rome anyway, because their connection still exists, it just might have taken longer.

My biggest complaint would only ever be that the kisses obviously leave something to be desired... But I kind of find their relationship interesting enough that I don't really mind that? I've never felt this strongly with all the other couples I've watched, with the exception of maybe AePete, who manage to be a compelling couple who ALSO has amazing kisses. I even liked FrameBook in the trainwreck that was Make It Right, but not to the point where I just wanted to write an essay about their relationship.

I feel like a lot of people have a sort of one dimensional view on Pick and Rome's relationship and it frustrates me. You can't just judge these characters' actions out of context, you have to look at the big picture. Pick's behavior would be shitty if it was directed towards anyone but Rome, who was fully aware and willing to be in a relationship with someone like him. He wasn't forced into this! If he really didn't like it, he would have ditched him! Rome stood up to Pick plenty of times, usually for the sake of Emma, but still. The only times Rome was unhappy in their relationship was when he knew he could get more out of Pick and it wasn't happening as fast as he wanted it to. But he still remained patient because he felt it was worth it! You might not think you would like to be in a relationship like that, but there are people like Rome out there.

I’ve never posted anything on here before, and probably no one will read this, but I just wanted to say something about PickRome because I think they’re seriously one of my favorite BL couples I've seen in all my history of watching Thai dramas. If you skip the Porsche/Emma scenes and aren't too attached to those characters (I personally mourned the loss of Porsche/Pick more than Porsche/Emma), this show is much more watchable than the reviews lead it to seem. It would just be a travesty to miss out on PickRome just because the other half of the show sucks. TL;DR my reply to this is just an essay on how much I love Pick, Rome, and their relationship.
