My POV: This conversation felt like another miscommunication between Luke and Flora. From Luke’s side, I don’t think he was simply saying that he didn’t want a future with her. He first acknowledged his own flaws... that he could be difficult, had a terrible temper, and wasn’t good at loving someone. But based on what he had seen, Luke also wasn’t sure whether he could give Flora the life she wanted.. or whether Flora truly knew what she wanted. She attended a matchmaking event, even if it was only to help a friend. She's comfortable having dinner with her ex-boyfriend, and her male roommate was also very close to her. Each situation had an explanation, but it made Luke question her boundaries and certainty. To Luke, Flora’s words said that she wanted to be with him, but some of her actions left him unsure. Unfortunately, instead of simply telling her, “These things hurt me and make me question where I stand,” he just said, “The life you want might not be one I can give you.” And I don’t think Flora fully understood what he was trying to say. Flora heard his words through her own expectations. She believed that after four years together, their relationship should have become deeper and more committed. She had hoped their love would be strong enough to overcome their differences. When Flora says that some people are simply “out of reach,” I don’t think she means social status alone. Their different family backgrounds and upbringing may be part of it, but Luke was also emotionally out of reach. He cared about her, yet instead of clearly expressing what he needed, he decided that he couldn’t give her what she wanted. They were having the same conversation but asking two completely different questions. Luke was like asking, “Do you truly know what you want... and are you really choosing me?” Flora was asking, “After four years, are you finally ready to choose a future with me?” And neither of them answered the question the other was truly asking.
Did he just misread the word "my amazing fan" to "my amazing man", or is it really written as "my amazing fan" in the first place? Or Did the FL write it incorrectly?
On ep 26 now, they should've had a decent fight with the Ximen King here. He's a big villain, but he was easily stabbed. This part could've been better.
Bai Yu is so good! I’m loving Qian Hong Chu and became attached to Wuyue too. I feel Minister Shen, I don’t want to surrender and serve Central Plains. 🥹 I’m rooting for Wuyue but ofcourse I know it’s impossible since the drama was inspired from history 🥲
Seeing a lot of comments about women being independent and not chasing men. Seriously, in real life, if the male lead is this handsome then I’d forgive him a hundred times and go after him for as long as he likes me too 😂
