He is bored to death and he have bad sense of direction that get lost really easy even in his own home. He is just cutie potato. He, ML and Hong shin's character are my favorite chaos trio. HS character is general who loves to tease Ruy's character so much.
The thing is here FL really have feeling for SML. in novel when she and ML broke their concubine relationship she met SML and she slowly started to like him. First she find him kinda like ML but then she found out she likes him in different things too. But regretted after finding about his hidden self. when SML died she cried like crazy and even dreamed about saving him. This dream thing might be in drama but I don't know what they did to other parts cus here SML start showing up from ep2 and have more impact of story...

No he is obsessed type completely unhinged with his own story. In novel He killed his own brother cus he thought he is going to marry FL. He do anything for FL and have soft spot for her. He is kinda I will burn world for you type character. ML maybe seems funny and weak but he is wolf under sheep's clothes. People think he is idiot but he use that to plan new things and fool others around. For SML is same too. Both of them are good chess players.

ML is lazy king. actually he is pretty smart but he didn't wanted to be a king and thinks his older brother whom kicked of palace years ago is more suitable but he don't know where he is now.
For making this lazy playful king more active on his duties, some of minsters asked FL to be concubine of ML and teach him a lesson. If she do that, They give her a lot of money, So she enters palace but find out ML is just pretending to be lazy and idiot. They decide to work together as same time some strange things happen in capital.
SML's character is actual villain of story. He have two different identities. one his real identity, As second master of one of big household, Known as his kind and gentle behavior and his fake identity which he is a gang leader and use his man and power to kill, torture and achieve what he wants.
The love triangle thing in this drama is really heavy one. First of all SML's character is kinda fan favorite. Cruel villain doing anything to achieve his dreams. Even it means killing countless of people. He LOVES FL TOOOOO much. He is obsessed with her. They even have their own kissing scene XD
FL toward both ML and SML shows affection. YES she loves ML but there is strange kind of tension between her and SML.
So it is kinda complicated and there is high chance of having SML syndrome.
