Ju Jingyi did extremely well in this drama!
I'll admit I was never a fan of her acting for several reasons, but she was very convincing and believable in this role from her voice acting to her facial expressions.

There are always viewers who complain about female lead voices in any drama, I don't even take them seriously anymore lol.

I think JJY's voice matches her character and I'm impressed she dubbed herself so well. Usually a voice actress is used for her roles but not this time.

That user always rants about Asian netizens being toxic and rude even though he's the same as them, except for being an American netizen.

He has broad, flared nostrils. On a Korean or Chinese actor, those are usually a sign they didn't do a nose job as that is not the desired look they go for.

The English Viki subtitles are nearly the same as Netflix's when it comes to sentence structure and wording.

I watched a few episodes on both platforms to see the translation differences and there are only very few.

I like this drama so far but I still think it's a real pity it hasn't shown more of the FL's past. Everyone got flashbacks that explain why they became the way they are, but the FL got almost nothing. She's literally a main character and yet I understand her characterisation even less than the doctor's or even the fox lady's.

It's disappointing to hear they actually filmed such scenes but didn't include them in the final product for whatever reason 😕

Some people unironically hate-watch a show they don't like because they're entertained by how bad or ridiculous they find it.

Criticism is fine, but negativity for the sake of negativity is just annoying to read.

I heard about it briefly, but I didn't know they already started implementing it.

It's incredible that with this main cast, this director (he made The Double, a very entertaining drama!) and it being a WeTV production, the drama still turned out this way. The storytelling makes me feel like I'm watching a low budget mini drama honestly.

I started watching this drama yesterday and had the exact same thought as you.

The FL barely had any interactions with him before drawing a conclusion about his personality. From what I understand, she only knew his father and because the ML's personality is different from his, she even suspects he may not be the real son. And we got all that in the first two episodes? 😅

It would've made more sense to me if she had known him as a little boy and her impression of him/her suspicion developed over the course of a few episodes. As it is, it feels too rushed.

My boring answer to your question: We will know once this drama airs.

Chinese censorship rules are confusing and there are lots of half-truths about it floating around on Mydramalist.

Many dramas contain themes of rebirth and reincarnation without any work-arounds like "it was all just a dream". This pretty much proves rebirth is actually not across-the-board forbidden because if something is truly censored, you will definitely not see it in a single Chinese drama, e.g. full nudity, gore.

Most dramas that get a lot of hype fall flat for me, perhaps because I go in with very high expectations but finish them thinking they could have been better or they were just average. Hopefully that won't be the case with this drama 😆

Cringe is unavoidable in many short-length dramas. They're like trashy romance novels but in TV format 😂
