Two different set of detective story

First of all, I didn’t watch episode 9-12 so I might be wrong about the casts and might change my review... anyways:/

This is the first Chinese detective drama I watched and I like it so far but then after episode 8, I watched a bit of episode 9, the drama started another set of detective story with new casts. I would’ve continue on watching but when the drama just suddenly started to have a whole new detective story, I just think there’s no point of continuing. I felt very disappointed when the first part of detective story didn’t go on plus the first part detective story cast was not even in the second part so I just gave up watching episode 9-12. Lastly, I still love the first part detective story, and my ratings are basically only for episode 1-8.

After basically 2 years, I dropped it.

main leads’ relationship is not deep enough yet

Idk why but the way they build the main leads’ relationship is not deep enough. I didn’t cry at all… Some parts of the drama also felt a bit draggy, I rather have them replace the draggy part with scenes building main leads’ relationships. Well then why did I rate it 8.5/10…? I love the main leads as actor and actress. I’ve been looking forward to this drama a lot but my expectations were too high, youku made me wait… Their costumes are really pretty and the osts are really good ;) i can’t help falling in love with Ying Yuan’s visuals. Sometimes the drama did hook me. I hope this drama gets better and hope there won’t be unnecessary drama.
