The way they look at each other with so much love - itās amazing how lovely they are to each other and how their warmth to each other warms my heart - and their love? This is so much more than hot and heavy attraction - it is just pure respect, honesty, compassion, concern - itās real love - the best display of true love Iāve ever seen. I believe that a person needs a certain level of empathy to understand Dong Man. Many people donāt take a moment to really look, to put themselves in another persons shoes - they look at the surface and see āinappropriate behavior ā in a vacuum and fail to see all of the circumstances leading up to that reaction. Look at the episode ratings - all the episode (except last two episodes have been rated by trolls before theyāve even been releases) -I think those high ratings shows the feelings of anyone who paused and really looked at this drama. When seven of the Eight (less HDM) are gathered around the table, I realized Choi Dong Hyeon is not part of the group, Iām not sure why I had thought he was part of it - but he is an outsider from the very beginning and is not part of āthe eight.ā This makes his throwing his need to bring down HDM more impactful - he wasnāt someone who even knew him for a long time weighing in - also shows how horribly big his ego is! ( If it wasnāt already obvious.)
During the after party, theyāre talking about how Ma Jae Yeong won the ~three million dollar grant - I didnāt realize at the time that was the very grant that HDM had interviewed for that day. So he already knows that he didnāt win and he also knows that he lost to the guy they were talking about - with her going on and on about how who won was ācharming.ā It also makes me think āof course heās incredibly upset!ā - it casts his behavior as a lot more understandable light and also how much he was actually holding in.
The time waiting for the train - no idea why I hadnāt noticed before, but I realized this is the first time the ML and FL are really speaking to each other. They had been each others orbit + I believe knew each others name, but donāt believe they really spoke to each other before this.
When Eun A was evaluating HDMs work, hearing this a second time, it was really more of a critique than a criticism - it was much more about Dong Hyeons attitude and obnoxious build up that made it sounds more harsh than it would have if she had been given the opportunity to respond to him directly.

I have a hard time understanding the 50 episode dramas - but THIS drama? Iād watch it for 50 episodes. If you can watch the four actors getting drunk around a table while one struggles to set up a Christmas tree and another goes into the next room to read a book - and it sounds like it would be boring but it isnāt, the characters are alive and Yep - Iād watch 50 episodes of this and never be bored.

Yeah, maybe it is complicated for MDL to fix, that might be why they turn a blind eye hoping that after enough real users see the episode the fake acts impact on the ratings will fade ā¦ But it seems like they could do something that wouldnāt be hard to code - like, only allow users with accounts more than three months old that have commented can rate dramas. And interesting point you made about not being able to see who rated them, as youāre right: if we as users good go in and report those who rated those episodes with a 1 star when it hasnāt even been releases, maybe those users ability to rate dramas could be suspended. Ep 1 to Ep 6 are all above 9. Ep 7 has only climbed to 7.5, but Iāll bet it keeps going up as more people who have seen it rate it. Vincent Van Gogh (arguably one of the most impactful artist to ever live) - was NOT appreciated by anyone during his lifetime time BUT he had Theo Van Gogh: who supported him and his art throughout his whole life. We can survive so much and become so much, if we have someone who we can turn to and ask for help!! We donāt need everyone, we just need someone šš„° And watching this show, it seems that both the ML and the FL now have someone they can ask for help - and youāre right āthatās okay!ā š
