Alot of the fandom thinks its gross to have sex, let alone make a baby when there is 2 souls inside the body, fans would enjoy the scene if it was truly a moment with just the two of them and no impending doom and gloom.

Park Jin kept talking about the pressures and overwhelming sense of responsibility Ukie has. And he knows he and his fiance will be hurt for the actions/choices he makes. So perhaps hiding for the time being, allows Ukie to make a choice when there are no loved ones left in the world to consider (because by then Yeong might have lost her soul too - for a short while perhaps).
