Here is my interpretation:
LBY knew the person he was looking for was related to the Cheng family and had used the carriage to hide. The grace, gentleness, intelligence and determination of CSS intrigued him and he was surprised to see her not hesitate to denounce a member of her family. Besides, he heard she had grown up without parents and sensed her sarcasm and wit when she lectures the governess at the end.
He is someone who grew up without parents who cares a lot about justice. So he took an interest in her and felt her personality was a bit wild wich was a good thing in his eyes.

P.S: since we are in the Part 2 section, I don't think we need a spoiler tag for talking about the first episodes of Part 1 x)

Yeah, that's a huge spoiler, that's why I asked to put it under the spoiler tag (because it wasn't at first) and to be careful because when someone asks clarification about something in Part 1 they don't for sure ask for spoilers about part 2. But many people answer with huge spoilers. I didn't know before but at episode 4 of the part 1, I read this spoiler because people aren't careful and talk about it without tag under post only talking about the first episodes of the drama.

Yeah, I saw the preview for the next episode and it seems, indeed, that CSS will see the similarities between her fiancé and general Huo.

First, can you put a tag because it's a big spoiler.
Second, maybe you can ask OP if he/she wants this kind of spoiler or if he/she only wants clarification about what was said in part 1. Not everyone want to know what will happen in the 3/4 of the drama.

She's also grateful because he saved the life of her husband and sister in law.

She is the Emperor's childhood friend who was General Huo's best friend. She therefore knew him and was perhaps even friends with him. The sister she is talking about was the emperor's sister apparently (or the empress), not her biological sister.

I would like to know the opinion of those who know what will happen next:

Do you think LBY is aware he is General Huo's son?
His attitude towards his so-called father, the marquis, as well as his very deferential attitude towards his "mother" seems to indicate he knows who he really is. If he thought he was the son of the Marquis, I thought maybe there would be more angry arguments with his father about their relationship. However, LBY only gets angry at the marquis with respect to his mother's treatment, he is just the knight in armor of the rejected wife and doesn't act like a resentful son.
This would also explain his rage to avenge the Huo clan if he knows it is his paternal clan and his parents who were killed and therefore his responsibility to avenge them. Whereas if he is the son of the Marquis, he has a whole legacy preserved and still has both parents even if their relationship is not good.

What we know in part 1:
LBY is the son of a marquis and the sister of General Huo (the emperor's sworn brother). When he was a child, he was with his mother and his entire maternal clan in the Gu City which was attacked. Their whole clan and soldier were massacred, only he and his mother survived. They took 1 year to return to the capital and no one knew, before that, what had happened to them. Consequently, the Marquis married a cousin of his and did not take back his wife (who had gone mad) when she returned. LBY was therefore taken in by the Emperor and Empress and brought up in the palace until he was old enough to have his own mansion. He never thought of the Marquis as his father and blames him every time he sees him for abandoning his first wife.
LBY is referred to as the 11th Young Master to signify his connection to the Royal Family (he is considered the 11th child). As his entire maternal clan died, the Emperor gave him all their titles.

I just saw the preview of episode 36. The 5th princess is a monster of cruelty and vice. I sincerely hope she will be punished severely even though she is the emperor's and the empress' daughter. A girl who has no regard for human life and for her parents should not live in luxury.

She is too cute when she comes home and is unable to keep her composure. The drama succeeded subtly and beautifully in showing us CSS discovering flirtation and desire.
On the other hand, if she gets in such a state just for a kiss on the forehead and being embraced by her fiancé, what will it be when things get more serious haha

I had to watch the scene a second time to begin to understand (or at least in my own way) the reason for his anger.
LBY is aware of the power struggle for the crown prince' position and that the Empress is too soft which is not good (as he tells CSS at the start). I think he's both mad to see her hurt (even more if it's for someone else) but also afraid to see her getting too involved in the Empress's camp which could cause her trouble and make her mortal enemies.
Moreover, they are still getting to know each other. He also sleeps little and is tired. The fact she replied by putting him in the same basket as the other nobles and saying she will continue to do as she pleases infuriated him and he started sulking like a kid xD

I think we all now know why Consort Yue avoids attending the royal family banquets as much as possible. Must be a headache yelling at those brats all the time 😂

I understand how you feel.
However, there are several things to consider:
1) Regardless of CSS's choice, the engagement was going to be broken to honor the He family either by royal decree or by Lou family' decision. By taking the lead, CSS just avoided further humiliation for her family and kept LY out of trouble.
2) The He family was very close to LY. They considered him their son and brother. But they all died horribly, leaving just a daughter and a young son. LY was a little too revolted to take a step back but once reasoned, he understands himself he owes the He family to protect their last descendants.
3) The girl He and LY have been friends and engaged since childhood. Even though she had an arrogant attitude and tended to put him down, it can be seen there was affection between them. It's just that she had picked up some very bad habits and they needed to take a step back before they could find each other again. They will not be unhappy together.

In a house, the legal wife is called "sister" by the others wifes/concubines even if they're not related. Because they lived in the same house and are one family. I thought too she was talking about the empress but someone said it was the emperor's sister.

Really ? We never heard of her before, right?

Who is the 5th (or 1st, the subtitles tell us both) princess that Consort Yue is talking about? She calls her sister so I imagine she is the current empress when she was pregnant.
