I like how some religious people are saying how they are against it, but then when it comes to the punishment…
They don't realize that by not supporting something, they are automatically opposing it. What's worse is that they are against love. How can a religion so easily convince them that loving someone deserves an eternity in hell? It's so...

Not really...I watch anything which has a passable storyline. Also, I do support lgbt community with all my heart.
It's very weird to say I support fetishism when I'm gay myself 💀

I don't hate it, I even said if the bromance gets stronger I will actually really enjoy it 🤔 that doesn't change…
I don't take sides. Everyone has their own opinion, and I don't mind if you enjoy this show or not. I have no issue with people who rate it highly or like it or the opposite way. My only problem is with homophobes and the one's who say rapists deserve forgiveness. I'm open to having conversations with anyone who has a different opinion as long as it's not offensive.

Thank you so much, i ws being called a weak Christian for not supporting homophobia
They need a reality check. Going against God's word doesn't make someone a fake or a weak Christian, as every Christian sins. By that logic, no one would be a true Christian.

Aw here we go again with another homophobe
It's laughable that some people are proud to say "I don't support it." There were also many who didn't support women's rights, and we know how that turned out. Plus, countless LGBTQ+ individuals are harmed because others are against them. Not supporting them is effectively the same as being against them. What a joke, honestly.

It's disappointing to see so many homophobic comments being excused by religion in this discussion. Let's be clear: if you believe that someone deserves to go to hell simply because they love someone of the same sex, just because your religion says so, that's deeply problematic. Punishing someone for who they love is not something anyone should support, regardless of their religious beliefs.

Let's not compare this to a child being punished for doing something wrong. Loving someone is not bad and therefore shouldn't be punished, especially not with an eternity in hell. That's incredibly cruel and twisted. Bye

I understand why most of you are complaining about casting an ex con but before we cast a stone or judge others,…
I had to read this twice because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Forgive him? I can't even find the words to express how shocked I am by what you wrote. A rapist does not deserve any forgiveness. I'm far from perfect, but I'm certainly not a rapist so I don't have to look inward to know that he should rot in hell 💀 this isn't some minor crime, we are talking about a rapist not a thief

bromances usually water the gay down to where it's obvious something fishy is going on but it's not in your face,…
Is this even a bromance, though? I haven't watched it yet so I can't say for sure, no one probably can until later eps but I hope it is, however that doesn't change the fact that they could have kept the BL storyline. Korea has been handling BL content, with many successful BL shows already. They had an opportunity to stay true to the original content, unlike china. But regardless we have different opinions on this, I dont have a problem with anyone enjoying this as it is, I might enjoy it too if the bromance is strong enough but my opinion stands, they could have done better and stayed true to the story

There is no FL in it so how can they sideline bromance for FL??
I used the wrong word for it, there is no FL indeed but there are female support characters so while they may not make it a main story they can add brief romances between a ML and a women to avoid any speculation

While I understand your point, I disagree with the notion that adapting BL books into heterosexual shows is the right solution. While it may seem like a pragmatic approach to avoid backlash, it ultimately gives a bad example. If someone is hesitant to adapt a book due to the risk of facing homophobic audiences, perhaps they should reconsider the project altogether. Despite the presence of homophobia, there have been numerous successful BL adaptations in Korea, even if they are shorter in length. "Addicted" was one of the first successful BL shows in China. In contrast, Korea has seen a proliferation of successful BL shows, signaling progress in the right direction

There are also few shows which adapt straight novel/manga story into bl so can we call them heterophobic??
This is like saying white racism exists. I have no interest in engaging with someone who believes heterophobia is a real issue. It's clear you don't grasp the numerous ways this indirectly harms the LGBTQ+ community. By targeting a different audience and avoiding homophobic backlash, these adaptations are perpetuating harmful stereotypes and hindering progress toward LGBTQ+ representation. There are plenty of straight books to adapt from without resorting to erasure or avoidance.

This conversation is over now as I have no desire to argue with someone who insists on the existence of heterophobia. Have a good day.

I believe they're referring to a short BL drama adapted from "Boys Over Flowers," which is relatively obscure. Not many people know about it

Heterophobia does not exist because straight individuals generally don't face systemic oppression or violence due to their sexual orientation. Comparing it to homophobia overlooks the power dynamics at play, I dont know how you can even say that. Adapting straight content into BL doesn't typically harm heteronormativity, as heterosexual relationships are already widely accepted. However, adapting BL into heterosexual formats can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and suggest that LGBTQ+ content needs to be diluted to be palatable to a wider audience. The motivations behind these adaptations matter significantly. Adapting heterosexual stories into BL often aims to provide representation and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Conversely, adapting BL into heterosexual formats may stem from a desire to avoid confronting homophobia.

I haven't started yet, so I won't comment on whether it's good or bad. But let me say this: there are plenty of books with straight content that can be adapted into series. There's no need to take BL ones and censor them. If this were China, I might understand, but it's not. Yes, Korea has issues with homophobia too, but creating BL shows isn't illegal. In fact, it can be a positive thing because representing LGBTQ+ characters through shows is a step forward. Censoring them essentially implies that heterosexuality is superior, which it isn't.
