If there is a Korean person here, could you please explain to me why, at some point in the movie, the male lead and his best friend refer to the swimmer girl as "남동생"? (at around 1h 20min) I study Korean, but I have absolutely no idea why they would say "남" instead of "여" for a younger sister.

good luck :) but personally i don't think you will really need it. I didn't like the first episode that much either...or better, it didn't catch my attention. but after watching few more episodes i stayed hooked on it and now it belongs between my favorites. it really is worth watching!
