Episode 11 made me realize the pacing of this drama is PERFECT. I love how you can see Yan Zijing is begining to show subtle signs of interest romantically towards Duanwu. He is impressed with Duanwu's ability to adapt on her own especially learning to fight to survive without any teachers. I love that after awknowledging her, he contributes to her improvement. Not only that, he was nervous when she sat next him, flustered when she thinks he's not able to speak the language she needed assistance in, etc. I am very excited to see Duanwu officially start designing jewerly, making profit, and opening a shop.
Ep 12 was slightly annoying because I think Duanwu crossed the line between master and assistant/servant. Albeit, it is understandable that she wanted to know the connection between the families and her mom. However, I was hoping she would just stop and let YZJ tell her when he's ready instead of trying to get it out of Zhang Jin Ran. Clearly, there is some open wounds that haven't healed esp since he thinks Shiqi is his sister and all. X.x Ahh I hope she is ...cause all those money went down the drain if it wasn't. I mean he saw the jade pendent and all...hmm..
Yan Zi Jing has changed to a caring and protective master. it's probably because Duan Wu said she won't be able to find her father without the blood stained pearl, which truly belonged to the Yan fam. So I would assume Yan Zijing feels some kinship towards her because of it and is now protective of her.
I hope Xiao Xia Mi is alright, please don't kill him so soon. 🥺
Oh my god, the little things the mother did for her daughter. The "Leave with me" scene with Duan Wu and her biological mom. ZLS did a wonderful job, I can never get tired of her convincing crying scenes. It just way too real, it tugged at my heartstrings. Teaching her how to calculate, write, read, and giving her a hair pin for self defense. And I wondered why Duan Wu was dressed differently compared to the rest, now it makes sense!
Fei and Qing Geng's relationship was bittersweet. 😠Fei loved the human realm due to its colorful and lively atmosphere compared to the Wilderness. Unfortunately, the humans are afraid of him. Meanwhile, Qing Geng didn't care and accepted him as a friend. she didn't leave him despite everyone dying from the plague. instead, she asked to be sealed with him. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I'm glad Fei at least had one genuine friend before he sacrificed himself for her life and freedom.Their story makes me wish these two would act in a new drama together as leads. 🥺
Can I just say how intense the rebellion attempt was? The last couple of episode had me PAUSING because I was so afraid that Jinghe would lose. Did Xuan Lie get a satifying ending? I would say yes, at least his father finally knew what kind of son he had crowned before the execution. I must say Baron did a really good job conveying a character with such greed for power, attention, and love. Honestly, I thought the drama should've ended there but it seems there's another plot and I'm not too sure how I'm liking it. It is getting a little boring to watch now with the antagonist is gone.
I agree. From his first scene I liked his performance.
The way he switches from puppy innocent eyes, betrayal, anger was just chef's kiss! Basically his eye acting has improved so much over the years. It's all showcased here, I hope he gets an award for it!
We don't know. Have you a phone number for the writer and director? I'll ask on your behalf.
Apparently asking a question has to do with manners, now? You sound like a boomer. It was just a question, why are you so worked up over it? if you find it stupid, just move on and not reply with such rudeness. I've watched the original, so I know what's happening but I'm also wondering if it's deviating from the original based on their latest episode. There's nothing wrong with that! it sounds like you won't even allow someone to just question the drama's route. Toxic, much? Asking a question or voicing an opinion does no harm to you, fyi.
I cannot pinpoint why i love this drama so much thus far. It seems the writing contributes a lot, the lines the characters say just tugs at my heartstrings. I'm already rooting for the leads to win their revenge and have a happily ever after!
