i guess i'm in the minority when i say i enjoyed this thriller a lot, including the last episode. i was hooked…
felt it was predictable w the deaths and in ep 1, we already find out that our main lead, hyeonheop, heals from her injuries. that's some superpower type shit. ep 6 definitely gave me an evangelion-level crisis but i still thought it was interesting. by ep 3-4 we can tell the homeroom teacher is very suspicious and it made me want to keep watching to find out her intentions. lowkey, she gave me nanno vibes lol
i guess i'm in the minority when i say i enjoyed this thriller a lot, including the last episode. i was hooked from beginning to end, and our main leads were interesting. i think it was actually predictable if anything, since the absurdism was hinted at the start. also, i heard this was a prequel to the original story in the webtoon and i think it did a good job at introducing it. just watch it for yourself.
lee junyoung, the man you are. his expressions are his strongest and best point. i only knew him from movies (badland hunters, love and leashes) but seeing him in whc season 2---i was SO convinced his character needed his own drama.
it's difficult to surpass the impact and rawness of S1, but S2 by itself was really good. fight scenes went harder, emotional scenes felt sadder. the only thing is the pacing, where i wish we got more sieun monologue and backstory of our new cast. personally, i'm v satisfied w how it ended and don't need a S3.
technically, yes. the ending is sad, BUT open ended, so you'll want to watch s2
no problem! :) i rated both seasons of D.P 10/10, and i rarely give out 10s. this show has a pretty special place in my heart. i hope you'll enjoy and get to appreciate the themes like i did!
D.P is the only show where i rated both seasons a 10/10. s1 is still irreplaceable, but i'm glad s2 didn't fall flat to the very high standards it set. i'll always appreciate this series...i'm looking forward to s3
when i first watched this while it was airing, this was definitely a highly talked-about 10/10 in many people's books, mine included. standards in kdramaland change all the time, but i feel like angel's last mission still holds true to their praise :") i really miss this couple. i still cry to the OSTs LOL
the show is rewatchable, straight to the point and relies on good character writing---that's why it's rated so highly. the message is short and simple too: "save lives." a no-brainer theme, but impactful right? sometimes, less is more. i feel that shows tend to forget this and will cram every subplot in at once, you've forgotten why you started watching anyway. but this gives you just enough time to take in and really feel and cry and laugh w the characters amidst the chaos.....i love this show so dearly
