if you're looking for a violent HS setting, weak hero class and pyramid game are also really good

idk how to explain it, but extracurricular was one of the breakthrough dramas in 2020 where this certain dark genre led to more shows following this pattern/blueprint. and in the best way possible

honestly valid if you think the sex scenes are unnecessary. but if you switched from western to korean media to "get away from r18 content" and are shocked by 1 (of the thousand kdramas that exist out there), having explicit scenes. hmm, that's not really a good excuse to rate this show poorly. you're likely not the target audience. hate to break it to you but Everyone, not just hollywood, creates r18 media. there was a very clear content warning so people should not be surprised? disappointed maybe, but not surprised.

anyways i really love the first 4 eps so far, it's very suspenseful and the action is amazing (except the night scenes are a lil hard to see). haven't felt this on the edge of my seat in a while

just finished this w a solid 9/10 and found out this was supposed to be 20 eps. now im disappointed because i REALLY would've wanted a fleshed out backstory of each of the main cast. i love the characters but it's too bad i don't get to know more about them. really hoping for a season 2. the series gave off mr. sunshine vibes; definitely fast-paced, amazing action sequences, and some plot twists. also i freaking love kim namgil....he gave off strong john wick red dead redemption vibes here.

i see a lot of mixed reviews but my opinion is like totally different lol. personally, music was fine i dont really care, the female lead (seohyun) had a necessary role and did a great job, fights weren't draggy and were choregraphed well. just some glaring plot armor is all.

has anyone mentioned actors/actresses being an issue yet? the actors i watched from dramas i really loved before are either not active rn, at the military, or aren't picking up good scripts. the acting itself will make or break a drama for me.

3 months late, but i have never been this mindblown, on the edge of my seat, visibly sweating and almost crying by the last episode. probably the quickest 10/10 i've ever given. if u think this drama is about cultured meat----that's like barely scraping the surface. because every episode was like drilling a hole into the ground except you didn't bring a ladder, so there's no way out but to keep digging down until the dirt finally buries you. in a good way of course, cause this drama really sucked me in.

not sure if there will be a 2nd season because this ended in the most impactful, unspoken way possible, much like the rest of the drama. but there is a lot of capacity to make it work. im open.

unrelated...but as much as i fawned over ju jihoon in this drama (and his scorching chemistry w han hyojoo), lee moosaeng still won my heart. (go watch him in designated survivor, if you haven't. very similar genres.) thanks for coming to my ted talk, i will now go write a more detailed review.

4 years since i watched this, and i still can't get cream and K out of my head. i love these 2 so dearly. may be an unpopular opinion but this couple is my favorite portrayal/version of the story

the movie and acting was great, just not sure if it's because of the high expectations and rating that i expected more. solid 8/10
