it marks over 2 years since his first main role! so so proud of him, I knew the moment I saw him in hotel del luna that he was gonna be a star. after the glory, I hope he gets another romcom, or historical era script
been missing out on kdramas lately but THIS brought me back into it. literal perfection! can't wait for s2
will write a proper review later, but i love how different this is from revenge cliches. dongeun, our calm and calculated FL, plans everything with intention and it's all connected somehow. the bullying and her trauma are so realistic. she does "confrontational revenge" rather than forgive-and-forget.
also, i love the tension between moon dongeun and ha doyoung. they have such amazing on-screen chemistry together. why can a game of GO make my heart flutter haha. i came here for lee dohyun obviously but i'm about to get swooped by this man HELP
I agree with you completely. Them being able to survive ep 7 is most likely due to their will to live. They wanted…
yes agreed! it’s not their real bodies, it's all in an “alternate” reality. i was rooting so hard for them, i felt their emotions through the screen. it was also a great wake up call that our characters are still vulnerable and imperfect
so i see some people angry at ep 7 because of the near-deaths and supposed immunity of the king of spades (like when will this guy die?) but i think people are taking the scene too literally. did you feel the desperate emotions as each person did their best to fight him? i did. i think it was an emotional scene. it symbolizes their willpower to keep fighting, to keep their heart beating irl and come back home. those who died by a single gunshot wound means they gave up and flatlined. our main characters didn’t, even if it was a thousand gunshots and knife stabs. it’s an analogy to their perseverance—that no matter how close to death they are, they still want to live.
also, can we appreciate the action choreography? that fight scene was so intense and beautifully done!
I don't understand the mixed reviews. I think this is very well done and also the ending was satisfying. To those…
exactly! season 1 introduced us to the thrill, but season 2 transitioned to a more psychological tone in a perfect way. i'm so glad we got more depth to each main character. they weren't just surviving anymore, they were fighting to go back home. i was so satisfied with the ending.
