I get there are many many pregnant women that have to work and maintain a home, but she can’t catch a break! Additionally she was in an accident. Not life threatening but she fell on the street. And when MK yelled at her, she had pain in her abdomen… 😡

Agreed, it was his fault that DS’s father was put in that situation. Yes the criminal killed the man. I can’t imagine, irl, how devastating that would be.
However he is still a father & husband and has responsibilities. If he couldn’t handle being a cop anymore, he could work at the restaurant instead of fishing. Sadly he’s pretty useless.
His wife (GH’s mother) for all her difficult behaviors, timidly puts up with his “shenanigans”. So why would he change? 😡
If the writers end goal is for DS and GH to be together and the viewer to buy into they at least to me failed…
The FL’s mother is wacko and not shy. She yells and hits her kids, family and high school “frenemy”.🫣 Why she didn’t try to protect or at least counsel GH more is simply uncharacter-like for GH’s mother. 🫣 It was very convenient for the writers to turn a blind eye and not protect her daughter.😡 Don’t get me wrong it’s still GH’s poor choices and immaturity that are the bottom line problem.🤔
