I see different from you. I can tell from the beginning Ning Meng is very special and dear to him. I can see the…
I don't think he has romantic feelings for her, at least not in the past. NM is a great secretary, she's basically his nanny catering him in every aspect. So when she quit, he misses the stuff she does for him. So he desperately needs her back. It's slowly that he starts to see a different side of her. Also, funny thing is that ml's dad married his secretary, so it's almsot like a foreshadowing that ml would marry fl too.

I was never a secretary, but I've worked corporate and had a boss that was a bigger a-hole than this character;…
These situations definitely gives you a harsh lesson and experience. The only positive outcome is that it allows you to harden yourself in adverse situations. Makes you able to adapt and become a problem solver, which I can see a lot in NM.

Title Road Home
So its a military/romance ?? 😍
Sorta, it does have him in action in a couple missions. It's a reconciliation romance. The couple broke up in their youth and meet up again about 8-10yrs later. they broke up bc of the long distance, she's at uni and he's in the army training. They meet up years later and rekindle since their fondness for each other never waned. What I like about ml is that, compared to other soldier/swat characters of ml, Home's ml isn't rich. He portrays a realistic person where you are glorious and honored when you are serving but once retired you are left with nothing, like many veterans. The ml here isn't rich, while other dramas the mls are often second gen richies or he can inherit companies but he doesn't want to kinda thing.

Fl is financially stable and independent. She has a good paying career and owns assets like cars and houses. So the roles are switched compared to the typical rich guy poor girl. Their feelings and views of love remain pure all these years, but they have matured. The reasons why fl choose to break up with ml in the first place still exists even after they rekindled their romance, but she learned to understand him and to accomodate. That's what I like about this novel or their relationship, the things that were a problem in the past is now something that can be "solved" with effort and understnading, fl definitely sacrifices a lot for ml so she must really love him to do all these things. Ml also tries to make up for his short comings. He dotes on her in his own way. Definitely have a read of the novel

No matter what, how are they now in the same apartment building? Out of all of Shanghai 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
That apartment is his friends. He just went there for a party of some sort. While NM is living there thx to her new boss. That apt is her boss' and she just leased it to her with employee discount.

Yang Xiao Yang (the temp secretary) is so cute like I can't
My mom finds her words amusing, said she just spurts idioms one after another. I don't understand it so I don't get half the fun, but at least my mom is enjoying it.

I think many people's first impression of momo was the similarity to wwwsk, but after watching 7 eps, there's basically about 10% similarity. It's not even a romcom. It's about an ordinary office worker finding her way and surviving the corporate world. She experiences trial and error, the evil and good in the work place. She gradually learn and becomes a competent investment director. She may have worked in the office for 3 years, but as a secretary for the chairman, the big bad boss, she's shield from the manipulations in the corporate world. Who would dare bully the secretary of the big bad boss since she works closely to the boss. Now that she doesn't work under him, without his protection, she's all fair game to be manipulated and bullied.

I see many comments where people say they really relate to NM's character. I think that's great that this is a relatable drama.

I want him to hit rock bottom because he needs to learn humility and he has none of that.
I think he's born with silver spoon. He really does hit rock bottom and I already feel bad for him knowing what's to come. But, I don't think he's that horrible, he does take revenge for NM, but he does it without fl knowing. I feel like the new job fl has might have been thx for ml. maybe he recommended it to the female director.

I was 100% going to drop this drama (I can't handle all this toxic and just horrible people today; honestly, these…
Unfortunately that's how office drama is. It's actually less toxic than in real life from what my friend tells me about her office drama. Sometimes from what she tells me i thought it would only exist in dramas. My cousin was ostracized by her coworkers bc her position was manager straight from application. The staff think she took someone's managerial position since she didnt work her way up but got the job as manager right off the spot. My cousin cried for 3 months until she finally got the grasp of the work load and procedures.

I'm relieved and glad this isn't a romcom. From the onslaught of trailers the past week it gave me the impression it would be the typical romcom, CEO-employee romance/rival genre, but it's not. It's been about fl trying to follow her dreams and being brave to make the changes. I like the pace of this drama since it starts off on her wanting to work in investments. I thoight it would take 1/3 of the drama for her to quit. Seems like it'll be soon. I knew i can always trust Seven's judgment in script choices

Ep 3, Seven's chin quivering was everything. Her micro expressions really had me feeling it. It had Mr. Lu feeling it too. Im sure deep down he has a heart.

I told my friend once that if yz and 7 played two fl roles in a drama, that would be nice to watch. But then my friend said there would be fan war and it's impossible for them to be in one drama together.

hopefully it's not your typical cinderella story this will make it or break it for me
Haha it's not. I'm sure it's not since Dragon TV is airing it and knowing Dragon TV, a reputable national satellite tv station, it doesn't air romcom. The first half will be a bit similar to the kdrama wwwsk, but fl quits to follow her dreams. So she goes through hardships, the ups and downs, to slowly climb up the career ladder. It's supposed to be a relatable drama for the middle class workers, those that work their ass for a better future. I already feel like I can relate bc I'm sure every worker/employee felt frustrated and treated unfairly by their boss, they let off that steam by either complaining it to their friends/family or finding another outlet, and then they go right back to work. So this drama may represent the workers who are sick and tired of their job sometimes, whether it be a dead end job or a job that doesn't give you enough rewards, but they still stick with the job/career bc it puts food on the table and pays the bills. So this drama is about perserverance, challenges and determination. I got these impressions from the trailers.

I think tan song is main role not support 🤔
I agreed. At this point in time, she's at a level where she's playing main fl roles now. Ofc if it's a big S+ production then she can play a support role, but this isn't a S+ production and I believe she isn't playing this drama. There's no rumors of this, instead there are a lot of rumors of her playing a period drama, rumored ml could be allen or steven...doubt it.
