My thoughts on ep 8! Things are really starting to pick up speed.
I'm glad I soldiered on the first 7 eps, bc ep 8 was very exciting and jam pack with actions. I was actually not bored when watching ep 8. -jyy being kidnapped, ss' acting skills has improved with every drama. This kidnapping scene where she's in the underground tied up with a towel in her mouth to silence her. Like finally, a drama where it's very believable when the kidnappee is being silenced by the rag.
-I like that jyy was very smart to use secret code to get help from her friend and yjl. For once, a 2fl where she's smart and useful. I like how decisive she is and how brave yll is. jyy was smart to knock that maid's head to create noise so that yjl can find her.
-3ml, zhao guy, I know he turns evil later and psycho too. But in this ep I give props to him for standing by his love for jyy. He would rather destory and handicap his hand, so that he becomes useless to the zhao family so that he wouldn't have to marry niuwuniang. He was even brave enough to threaten her life to save jyy, though it was futile in the end, but he tried!
Overall, I'm satisfied with this ep and it seems like things are finally picking up pace and it's getting more interesting!
I've heard that most cdrama actresses are small and tiny in stature so they can look better on screen. I'm not…
Yes, typically. SS is already petite and slim, however in this live interview she looks even more slimmer and tinier. She always goes on a diet when she films. I'm just shocked.
No I get you. I’m on episode six, but I feel like the pace starts to get faster and better once you pass the…
I am so impressed with zyc’s Martial arts and stunts like he does all these turns and twists and twirls and jumps all by himself. It’s amazing. He also plays really well as a rich aloof guy, but still with spunk and some attitude. I do hope that he gets more recognition from the drama

I see a lot of trailers or video snippets of the later episodes and it looks so much more interesting especially the banter and the romance starting so I’m trying my hardest to soldier on the first few episodes so that I can get into the good parts and I know that it gets better and better. This definitely more action going on
Modern day sometimes love is blind. You're talking to a woman who in Western Canada society, anglo saxon had the…
I’m glad you and your partner were able to get away!
Unfortunately for jyy if she were to marry in to zhao family she wouldn’t be able to escape. The only way would be for zhao guy to become an official and have royal orders to relocate for a government job
JYY finally recognizes the friend from her childhood at the end of ep 11
I saw the snippet, I'm only on ep 6, but it was cute. She kicked him and he was so doting on her saying this move won't work on him. Then they started saying this phrase that only they knew between each other
Jyy is still too young. She's too naive thinking she's just marrying zhao guy and not the zhao family so it doesn't matter if mil doesn't like her. This isn't like modern day where if the mil doesn't like you then you and your husband can move out. Period time where filial is a big thing and even by law have to be filial or it ruins a person's name. Her life will be hard and miserable if she marries in to zhao family where mil and other relatives don't respect her. Especially, if zhao guy can't leave the family and the zhao name, not like ml who left the yang family. Zhao guy can't protect fl. If I were jyy, even in modern day, I wouldn't marry a guy if his family dislikes me. i would never place myself in that position.
Are you kidding me, no one has ever said they don't like this actress' smile. she's known for her ray of sunshine…
Yes, I'm officially ignoring them from now on. It's just ridiculous how they just all come in clusters. Back then MDL was nice, just all talk about drama and plot and what they think will happen in the plot and their thoughts. Now, it's just fan war and trolling.
There's a lot of trolls that have no life and most likely have mental problems, and garbage to society. All they do all day is make multiple accounts and troll on celebrities and dramas. They most likely not doing well as citizens in their society, probably an outcast from work and no friends. Just eating 99cent instant cup noodles, with a week of unwashed hair typing away in their dark smelly room. My point, ignore them and don't respond anymore. I'm not going to respond to these accounts anymore, they get a thrill when we give them feed back like cancer. Just ignore them like the plague.
I know the Chinese have a penchant for casting characters to actors that are not age appropriate or a mismatch…
Yea, and your point? There's plenty of actresses that are in their 30s playing roles that are in their 20s and some as young as 17year olds. The actresses in their 30s are the established ones that has fame, popularity, value and skills to act vs the young 20 something year olds. Period dramas, all fls are young in their teens bc of the life expectancy and culture. Girls are to be married as young as 16, some even 13. If they are to be wed past 20 they are considered spinsters and no eligible men would want to marry these girls bc society deems them to be left overs or something wrong with them. All novels, the fls are young, and dramas already change it to be older. I rmb a novel where the fl is 13 and she wed a 22 year old guy (the rise of Ning drama). But drama changed it so she was 15-16 and ml was younger.
Why do you hound on tsy. She's actually baby face and can pull off as a 20 something or even late teen if she chooses. If you don't like watching her in this drama then don't watch, go watch kdrama where everyone is plastic, they all look young and never age, not one single wrinkle.
