I saw on wb and I'm so thrilled and proud of ss! A fantasy period is typically also an idol type of drama, so it's rarely, to the point that it never airs on CCTV, and yet SS' XY will air on CCTV. Guess they are making an exception for her since they know her drama will be a hit. They learned their lesson with not being able to air Shu. My Destiny is still in it's early stages of filming and already destinted to air on CCTV. CCTV wanted to grab it first hand before it loses it's opportunity I guess haha.
Shu was a very unfortunate to have missed this opportunity bc of misfortune. Let's hope this will be the first and last.

I just watched 3 eps straight and on to ep 4th before bed. Very easy to watch. Great pace, interesting and captivating beginning. I like the young actress that played fl, and I also like that she gathered people that could help her (the teacher and the two female body guards) and using her future knowledge to do business.
I'm very curious of ml's subordinate, who does he really work for. He said he has his own master, so he's only listening to master's orders to help ml.
Ep 10, finally ml has a spot light to show his talent with his sword dance but then the directing or edits is not that great and I feel like it's cutting out all the good parts. should learn from kpop cameramen.

Someone on little red book had similar confusion and I read a reply saying that the era this drama is near the end of Tang dynasty, and that if both leads were lucky to live long lives they would've been able to witness the change of dynasties. This also meant generals had a large amount of influence and power.
My thoughts on ep 8! Things are really starting to pick up speed.
I'm glad I soldiered on the first 7 eps, bc ep 8 was very exciting and jam pack with actions. I was actually not bored when watching ep 8. -jyy being kidnapped, ss' acting skills has improved with every drama. This kidnapping scene where she's in the underground tied up with a towel in her mouth to silence her. Like finally, a drama where it's very believable when the kidnappee is being silenced by the rag.
-I like that jyy was very smart to use secret code to get help from her friend and yjl. For once, a 2fl where she's smart and useful. I like how decisive she is and how brave yll is. jyy was smart to knock that maid's head to create noise so that yjl can find her.
-3ml, zhao guy, I know he turns evil later and psycho too. But in this ep I give props to him for standing by his love for jyy. He would rather destory and handicap his hand, so that he becomes useless to the zhao family so that he wouldn't have to marry niuwuniang. He was even brave enough to threaten her life to save jyy, though it was futile in the end, but he tried!
Overall, I'm satisfied with this ep and it seems like things are finally picking up pace and it's getting more interesting!
